Troches in addition to Clomid

I am a 72 year old on clomid, 50 mg, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. My total testosterone is up to 769. But my problem is weak orgasms. I was able to borrow a little topical testosterone and it solved the problem nicely. But you have to apply it a few hours ahead of time, with the troches it is only 10 minutes to peak. I requested a prescription for sublingual testosterone troches, for use before sex only, in addition to the clomiphene citrate.
My doctor responded “Do you have some references I could review regarding the clomid use and troches so that I have a better understanding of the risks and benefits?”
I saw somewhere on the internet where a doctor said that the troches were very effective for use before sex, but now I can’t find it. And it seems to me that he was advocating the troches as an addition to the clomiphene citrate. Can anybody help me with the link? The only thing that I came up with was a posting where somebody said, “My doc said he doesn't have much experience with troches but he is always attending anti-aging conferences and one of the doctors was recommending troches before sex.”

Troches are great, remember testosterone has a half-life of 1-2 hours so you have to account for that. They will affect each other and a spike in testosterone will be recognized and affect negative feed-back to the HPTA.

How is the clomiphene treatment working for you? How long have you been on it? How is your mood and are you experiencing any problems with your eye sight such as "floaters"?

>How is the clomiphene treatment working for you?
Great my testosterone level is 769.

>How long have you been on it?
Over 8 months.

>How is your mood
No problem

>are you experiencing any problems with your eye sight such as "floaters"?
Not so far.

Glad to hear that!

Just remember that numbers aren't the most important thing to look at.

Clomiphene will attach to estrogen receptor but the expression isn't the same as estrogen. Meaning, it acts like it but won't have the same effects; this can lead to complications such as poor libido or possibly weak erections. Also, it is still unknown the long term effects of clomiphene treatment to boost testosterone. Adding the testosterone to your program randomly as stated will create a spike and affect clomiphene's ability to boost levels.

But if it works for you :) For most others they get full benefits from testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and not SERM treatment or using an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) to increase testosterone.
