True Protein

As I'm seeing my 25lbs of whey protein dwindle, I'm looking for a quality protein source that is very reasonably priced and tastes great. I see alot of you guys promoting the True Protein brand, so I'm thinking about trying it out.

Just a few questions:

1. Do you use a pre-blended protein? If so, which is your favorite and why?

2. What is your favorite flavor?

3. Do you add any no calorie sweeteners?

4. How does it mix?

I'm looking to buy something with little to no carbs in it... and it looks like I might opt for the "Whey Protein Concentrate" @ $5.89/lb...

let me know what you guys think

-No I dont use a pre-blend
-Favorite Flavour is the Premium Banana
-Don't use the sweetener, with the flavour it makes it sickeningly sweet
-Mixes great, never had a problem

I use Whey Isolate pre workout, MPI (Milk Protein Isolate) all other times.

My favorite flavor is any of the premium flavors. Some of the best on the market.

No sweeteners are needed with premium flavors (they are included)

Whey Isolate mixed perfectly without even using a spoon, just swirl it around in a cup and it dissolves. Milk Protein (from any manufacturer) can clump, just the nature of the beast.

Whey concentrate is perfectly fine. Some people claim stomach issues, but I just went through a jug of it and could tell no difference between that and isolate. If it bothers you, just buy an isolate.

If you use my discount code you get 5% off every order. Check the sig.

that sounds good...

I'm not looking to spend a ton of money/lb... i'm in college and money is always tight, but it definitely seems like this is the place to buy protein

1. no, but the team skip is a good 1 if you want pre mixed.
2. prem banana cream and duch chocolate.
3. i add splenda or sativa
4. depends wut protien but i havent had any big probs.

i use the gamma protien the amino profil is just about the same ass iso whey and its half the price. and its 95% aborbed. i use a 60%gamma 20%casinate 10% flax seed "fat" 10%carb in the custom mix i up the carbs and fat when bulking sometimes.

look into gamma u just need to add a but more water sometimes as it may go a bit this but a few extra ounces of water dosnt matter it mixes fine.

problems with trueprotein is turnaround time, shipping pirces, and product prices...in that order. The quality is A+. I no longer buy from them as it was getting quite expensive. My last 25lbs of whey isolate/concentrate cost like $135-140 shipped...i need to find that link again.

I got the same prices 25lbs/$135 from dpsnutrition.com... I bought the American Whey bucket of Whey Concentrate. Only problem is, I think they discontinued that size, and from every 50 grams of whey, there was 15 grams of carbs

I am taking 150 grams of whey a day, which end up coming out to 45 grams of carbs just from shakes... As you know I'm looking to go as keto as possible, and that is just WAY too many carbs coming from shakes.

$145 for 25lbs of the above nutrional label i posted

actually, i like the taste. Taste is comparable to TP...i have the chocolate. Mixes well too. I've bought a lot of protein in my life...and i will be buying 50lbs of this before the months end ;)

and it comes with digestive enzymes and i don't really fart too much after taking 60g shots of it.

I use the TeamSKIP blend
If I use 1 single protein I like the Isolate Cold-Filtration. I believe StoneCold and TrevDog also like the Cold-Filtration

2. What is your favorite flavor?
Premium Chocolate
Premium Strawberry
Premium Strawberry and Cream
Premium Vanilla
Premium Strawberry Kiwi
Premium Chocolate Banana
Premium Orange Creamcicle

These are all flavours that I will order again

3. Do you add any no calorie sweeteners?
Buy the premium flavours and they already come sweetened

4. How does it mix?
TeamSKIP and Cold-Filtration Isolate mix awesome. 2 scopps in 500ml of water and it is mixed with a couple swirls of a spoon. No clumps!

Go for the Cold-Filtration Isolate. I know it costs a bit more, but it is well worth it.

The Concentrate gave me bad gas and stomach discomfort. The TeamSKIP and Cold-Filtration do not.

There is my 2 cents

thanks for the comments and recommendations...

i think i'm going to go with what aczech said... its looks like its the best bang for my buck right now

1. I have used lots of the team skip, but to save money on my blend I have customized my own using the gemma protein, cold filtration why isolate, egg protein, and caseinate protein, about 25% each.

For before, during, and after my workout I use the cold filtration whey isolate orange juice indulgence flavor. Its God's nectar.

2. For my blend proteins I use the premium vanilla and chocolate, which are really good.

3. I don't add sweetener because it is already in the premium flavors.

4. Mixes great. Best of any protein powder I have used.

I can't say I blame you for trying out that deal, looks good for the money, although I did notice that they are putting whey concentrate in it (at what percentage?) and calling the product "isolate". I'll be curious to see how you like it. For now, I'm sticking with TP. I'm very happy with their products and service.

"It is the perfect blend of whey protein concentrates, ion-exchange whey protein isolates, and whey peptides."

I bet the main ingredient in that mix is Whey Concentrate.

For all you know it is:
1% whey peptides
1% ion exchange
98% whey concentrate

Well, I'm not sure if its the law, but normally the ingredients are listed in order of the amount of each. In the label, isolate is listed first, so I would *hope* that it there is more isolate than concentrate. I'd be curious to know.
