Two week competition diet

Hello again....
I am in search of some ideas for a 2 weeks competition diet. Preferably 5 meals per day. My last diet seemed to work well but i was not as lean as i had hoped to be. The day before and day of i was basically eating flank steak and red potatoes and im not sure if that was what kept me from getting as lean as i wanted. Also ate rice cakes with real jelly before going on stage.
The flank steak i can do without and would like some suggestions on how to keep the muscles full and still remain veiny. Anything work well for anyone else????

Wow. This is really hard to answer because it is so individual and we don't know how the rest of your dieting has gone.

I wouldn't eat the flank steak.....too high in fat content.....go for boiled/grilled chicken. And stay away from all artificial sweeteners.

Of course do your regular carb load.......Evangeline was saying somewhere that carb loading with potatoes did not work well for her........rice perhaps instead.

And before going on stage I know girls that load up with red wine, honey, or cupcake type products of some sort........for the hard veiny look........ Since I have not competed yet I don't know what I will use if anything......

Considering you weren't as lean as you wanted to be I suspect it could be something with your sodium manipulation or water intake from the final hours before.

And when was your last tanning session....Dirk recommended not tanning to close to comp as that will help you retain water.

I wish I could be more help. Let us know what you've decided.

That is the kind of advice i need though. Tanning i quit the monday before so that was not a big deal. Cut out artificial sweetners. Did not like the flank steak at all. I started my water- 2 gal- on friday sat sund and monday 1 1/2 tuesday, 100 oz wed 64 oz thurs then sipped from that point. My pre judging was friday night and sat morning, this next show will be the same.
I may do the wine thing this time.
My only issue is what to eat when, or even how much. Just like to get ideas on what worked for others. I do not eat fish but can handle tuna, chicken is what i mostly eat. Sodium i also cut out.

like miss muscle said, its very personal..

i don't eat complex carbs like potatos at all.. i can't get hard or veiny enough.. but thats me... i eat protein and simple carbs actually... and i ate a shitload of steak :)

i found sleep played a big role with me.. and i experimented alot with my body and trial and error..

i did the textbook technique.. results were good..

i tried a pasta meal, slept 8 hours and woke up ripped...

the day of my show i ate fruit roll-ups and starbursts

i also tried yams and steak, slept only 4 hours and i was flat.. so the sleep and yams i think did not fare well with me...

so think back in the past.. when have you woken up ripped?? what did you eat the night before?? then go from there :)
