use longer pin to reduce pip?

I've mentioned on other threads my issues with my left thigh pins and how every time I can feel the injection down to my ankles and it feels like that leg fills with fluid. don't have that issue on the right.

Talking to my chiropractor, he said use longer than 1" pins since the skin layer is so thick. Seemed scary bc 1.5" is friggin long! Plus I always bury the needle so I don't get a lot of grinding in the muscle when I aspirate and inject. This week I used the 1.5 on my leg as a trial, and holy $hit, no issues. Of course there's the little soreness at the injection site, but no traveling and no fluid load.

Perhaps with the 1" I was only just hitting muscle and the bulk of the gear was in the layer between the dermis and the muscle? I would also get some leakage while injecting before and didn't this time. Now I did a z-track injection this time, so no post pin leakage, but I would have expected leakage during the shot, like I did with the 1".

I suppose to the veterans round here this is old news. but lots of threads on what size needle, so I thought I'd share my recent experience. still kinda freaky jamming that 1.5 in my leg... but it worked.

1.5 in leg does seem scary but I believe it helped u I had horrible lumps on my ass until I started using 1.5

I have been using 25g 1.5 inch for my first run, it worked out pretty good but the delt shots where a little awkward because you do not need to go 1.5" deep for delts. Every where else Lats/Glutes/Quad I push it in all the way without issues. Do get the occasional twitch in the quad but it seems to be the only area where that happens.

seems to reduce pip for me by using a lower guage like a 21g 1" for delts and quads
the higher guage seems to cause more pip for me

Especially with high mg test it helps soreness and lumps. It took a while for me to figure this out. After I switched to 1.5 on test 400 the pain and lumps stopped. All others I use 1 inch.
