Hi, so for about a year now i've been going seeing different urologists about my low libido. In my journey i've seen 3 different urologists, i've had elevated prolactin and have gotten an MRI to rule out any tumor, i've gotten numerous bloodtests with testosterone ranging from 300- 450, I've discovered that i have large grade 3 varioceles and i've had 3 semen anaylsis tests that came out bad. So so far my urlogist reccomends thats i get a variocelectomy, which i am willing to get done because that may fix my T levels and libido and also prevent any further damage to my testicles.
But, my health insurance is telling me that they won't cover the surgery unless they see significant evidence, so i'm sending out some bloodwork and hoping for the best. I am hoping this surgery will fix my problem soon.
I feel crappy most days and i am very fatigued, i used to love going to the gym but now it's become very depressing with the lack of energy and how i haven't progressed much at all within the past 5 years of going.
I've tried eating healthy and eating foods that help support testosterone, but nothing really seems to bring any real sex drive whatsoever.
I am really tempted in maybe taking some testosterone in the meantime and just to see how i feel on it. Like maybe try out a shot or 2 and see how that goes, would that be a stupid idea to do so? What happens if you do like 2 weeks of 200 mg test and just stop? i can't really find any information on stopping a cycle midway.
( btw, i've also talked to my doctor about taking clomid, he said that clomid rarely works in patients, my urologist also beleives that my testosterone levels are fine and that most people that he sees my age actually have lower amounts of testosterone than me.... which i don't really believe).
