Very, Very BAD SITUATION (SLEEP)

Ok, here's the deal. I've got 4 tests, a 5 page paper, and a powerpoint (this is actually about done) all due at various times this week. (I know, I know, shouldn't have procrastinated, but that's just what college students do). I'll get about 4.5 hrs of sleep tonight, before I have to get up for a 7:00 am class tomorrow, and after that, sleep is totally up in the air. I can't even think about starting to study before 7 or 8 each night, because I am a student trainer (working with the #9 TCU Horned Frogs, YEEEHAW) on top of being a college freshman. At this point, I feel that I will be doing good to get 2-3 hours of sleep each night this week.

So my question is this: what is the best way to maintain my body/muscle mass during this time? I'll try to squeeze in a little training when I can (I have an hour and a half break between classes most mornings, when I'm actually still awake and not dragging ass) but I won't have near enough sleep to support recovery. What should I do??? thanks yall.

forget about working out kid.

I'm doing my MBA+CFA right now (have a prior degree in Engineering from an Ivy) and haven't been to the fucking gym in more than a month !

On the bright side, this board keeps me motivated ..............just do free-hand stuff when you can or if you got a set of weights at home.

As for me, I'm hittin the gym again tomorrow :) ............. gotta get to 260 by Dec .......20 lbs to go ........

best ,
T

yup, I agree get off the boards, dont train, eat, and get your school work done. Training will can always wait, but i would hate to take a class over because i decided to train and kill my time in the gym while I had a test to do or project to finish. its worst if the class(s) is offered once a year you have to wait another year.

nah, I can get all of it done, it just may take me until the early morning hours (can't ever seem to get myself motivated to start until 8 or 9 at best), and the time I will (might) spend training is a break in between classes (like right now) that I really wouldn't spend studying anyway.

with only minimal sleep like that, i would forget about training altogether. remember your muscles need lots of "sleep" to grow.

hornedfrogsAT, without sounding like a complete Nerdy bastard I'd like to show you a way of getting started earlier than your 8 or 9 time.

Its a simple variation of the mind map and only takes a couple of minutes to complete. Just start with your overall subject in the middle of a piece of paper, then start to add subjects that your main one covers, keep going around and around till you can't think of anymore. Now, believe it or not, your brain will be alot happier to start work earlier because you have broken the structure subject down into little handy bits. Works best when you have a lot of exam study material to cover or a particularly difficult assignment.

Just trying to help you out, you probably know all this already.

Thanks for the help (I'll probably have to try that). However, you missed what I said about being a student trainer, and I am not able to get started before 8ish because of the fact that we are there for at least an hour and a half after the end of football practice. This week is gonna be a bitch.
