Walking for weight loss??

will a fast paced walk say for bout 40min or so 1st thing in the mourning be good for weight loss??? or do you need to get the heart rate higher then a fast paced walk and run instead?
 
this is a touchy subject.i'm not the cardio king but for me a higher heart rate does it.most people say a lower heart rate burns more fat.if your looking to lose weight you got to cut calories right?so if you aint walking right now and you add some in then yes i think you will lose some weight.pretty simple burn more calories lose some weight.
 
you need to burn TOTAL Cals

walking is not enough to burn cals..youll be better off doing 20 mins of higher intensity cardio than walking fro 40 mins..

"they" tell people to walk and it provides benefit if you sit on the couch for 25 hrs a day but at some pont youll still have to up the intensity

Walking is fine if you are old and tired and that is all that you can do. Otherwise you need more intense exercise to truly burn calories. Work up a sweat.
