Weight Fluctuations

I was just curious as to how much weight you gain:
1. On a regular (non pms, non period day) between when you first get up without the clothes, to later in the day after you've had a few meals...
and
2. The week before and of your period.
I have such large fluctuations- for the first, anywhere between 3 and 5 lbs.
and on the second, at LEAST 5 pounds. Is this extremely abnormal?

that's completely normal, and those aren't large fluctuations at all. i had a friend who'd gain at least 5lbs the week before her period.

as for me...

i might gain max 2lbs from food throughout the day and before/after period.. and i don't seem to gain from refeeds. that's not common. i DO gain when i don't drink enough water, though.

It certainly isn't uncommon for weight fluctuations. I'm with sparkly, if I don't drink enough water, I'll gain weight. The weight gain that you're experience around period time is just just water weight. Are you drinking at least 4 liters of water a day?

From morning to night it's normally a 2 lb. fluctuation. PMS gives me a solid 5 lb. increase, or up to 10 during PMS when I'm on cycle.

Keep in mind that just 1 litre of water weighs 2.2 lbs (1 kg) so a minimum 2 lb increase per day is expected if you are drinking 4+ litres a day.
