Weight Gainers with and AS

What do you guys think of weight gainers with using test? for the use of putting on mass

do we really need all those carbs??

If you can't get enough calories from real food, and you don't screw up your macronutrient ratios by using it... sure, go for it, why not.

Get maltodextrine and whey and mix what you need yourself. But going drinking them other then around training would not be good. Eat food.

there are a few that have a good ratio, but usually they are way more expensive that if you bought the ingredients seperately. cytogainer comes to mind, low fat, high GI carbs, about 900 cals i believe. it even has some creatine in it. i used it but it left me feeling kinda sluggish.

maltodextrine????

are there any negatives of consuming too much dextrose

in the past weight gainers made me feel sluggish as weel :(

Dextrose is high GI (the highest)

Maltodextrin is apparently much lower.

To much and you will get fat. Insulin insensitivity is also a problem for people that take in too much simple sugar.

Well, high GI carbs will spike your insulin, and that'll do it.

I've heard the cheaper weight gainers are loaded with sugars and the better ones aren't. Musle milk always comes up as a fav. If you need the cals go for it. I def don't need all those carbs and cals.

Weight gainers are not bad. But I would replace them with a real meal any time.

they're awesome for throwing inches on your waste...haha, if you need more cals then try adding another meal with red meat into your diet or something along those lines. I work for a supplement store and most of the guys who buy weight gainer are eather at 20 % BF or there skinny little pricks who dont know what the fuck there doing. Im not saying that all weight gainers are bad but ide rather stick with food.
