what happens when a member is banned - just curious

I just seen a member get banned with just cause. I don't wantvto ruffle any feathers, break rules, or get 'secret' info. So just tell me f I'm asking dangerous questions. But, just for my curiosity bow does that work? Is banning done for various timeframes and or permanently. I see varíos postings from banned people. I assume that while banned they cannot read the forum posts.

It can be permanent or for a finite period of time.

You cannot access the site while banned.

cnt be temp or permanent, depends on why the ban took place. they can see some thing logged out, but cant do a thing logged in.

Sooo, anybody have a rough idea of what percentage of members that have been banned, that actually come back and become good members?
And has a troll, ever turned into a good member? Or are trolls 'incurable' and we're just wasting our time on rehabilitating them?

if anything I think some trolls are members that have been banned and have no life and would waste time to make an account just to talk nonsense and try to piss someone off, but its usually pretty evident and not upsetting more of a annoyed at patheticness (if thats a word) feeling is what it brings so i dont really see the point.

there has been "noob" members that come on asking questions and get responses of truth they dont like and have a tantrum but then see we are right and start being open to feed back ad then in turn becoming good members and helping the community. its rare it seems, but there are good members that seemed like a troll at first due to having no info and asking ridiculous questions that end up growing and being helpful members.

i hope my post is not taken down. i just got banned recently for making a political statement on a court decision and got banned for a few days. i think it was BS and was mad as heck for a few days. my anger actually made my workouts better lol. i still think the ban was redieculous but guys/gals. i didn't read the rules. i hope the MOD will let me know what the problem was but just glad to be back on so i can read. real talk, the mod does not owe me an explanation. i broke the rules according to them. i stand by this site's decision to police as they see fit.
