You said it right there. The main ingredient in building muscle is (other than diet and proper rest) big compound movements, like bench for chest, squats for legs, etc.
Benches and pec deck, I dont do anything else. Currently I do decline for 4 sets, incline for 4, and pec deck for 3-4. If I start with incline I run 7 sets, then 4 for flat or decline, then 3-4 for pec deck, so I switch things around now and then.
