Just wondering how many of you guys have to supply your own hcg.
Who has to buy their own HCG because docs wont script?

I just got my doc to agree to prescribe it. I asked "what's the harm in trying it as long as I continue to manage estradiol?". I asked him to let me see if it made a difference for me. Long story, but I won't be jumping on it right away. But I am looking forward to giving it a go. I am curious to see if insurance covers it.

but I know the pharmacy I deal with don't usually carry it....
In fact they were out of stock yesterday they said when I went for refill.
I'm basically the only one using it in my area by script by the sounds of it. Says a lot...
pharmacist told me "this in not a common medication we use, so we don't carry it in stock unless ordered"..
Shows you what the majority of docs or endos are like in my area.
leave hormones low and just embrace your hypogonadism.... treat people for the symptoms with Anti.D's...
Isn't western medicine great ??

Don't women use it in Canada for fertility purposes? I would think it would be ubiquitous.

Obviously they don't around here...
and that's not the first pharmacy around here that has given me funny looks as to why I need it.
I think the go to drug for women is clomid "for fertility purposes"....
after all needles are bad for you. Much easier to swallow a pill or apply a gel to get the desired effect.

You need to make the fertility argument with him. Bring in studies if you need to so you can converse about it. And ask BIM what potential harm exists in taking it. Finally, ask if you can try it for a few months to see if you notice a difference on it.

Degrading is really only an issue after you reconstitute it I believe. My prescribed HCG vial has an expiration date of a year or more from the date I picked it up from the pharmacy. Now if you are buying HCG that has already been reconstituted, I'd be very concerned.

If you are dealing with a doctor in regards to TRT....
One shouldn't have to look elsewhere to keep his balls running.
This is their job and it's evident many should not be in the profession.

I went in to my doc office with labs while on a higher dose of T then he had prescribed and HCG which he didn't know anything about at time. I was looking good, emotionally in a decent place which was a first since I got hurt and shedding weight.
I explained to him why things were working and had the proof. He wrote me a script on spot for the hcg. Insurance ended up covering it too. They won't cover Ai's or higher dose T but that's easy enough to manage through other means. There is a few compounding pharmacies who sell HcG at great prices shipped with a script. I spent a month pricing out through pharmacies waiting for insurance to make a decision. Many are just outrageous.
I feel a lot better when I'm on hcg versus not. I woundnt have expected that.

Yes, I was referring to trt and being on hcg. It's a mood boost somehow. I'm in pain 24/7 and rarely sleep, few different pain meds and a light muscle relaxer but all low dose. I hate being loopy . Proper t levels is a mood boost for me but I can't get happy, I can't get an endorphine release anymore either. I was an endorphine and adrenline junkie all my life. It's been hard.
When I'm on hcg , I get some of that back that I haven't had since I got hurt. Don't ask me how. It probably saved my marriage. I was cranky and always looking for a fight.
I think I had a containmened epidural last fall. I got sick a few days later last fall. I was sick all winter and until 2 wees ago. I've never been that sick in my life. I would start to shake it and bam, I'd be back down. Even leviquin didnt knock it out. I ended up needing an Neb and inhalers too.
Id go on 8-10 mile runs just to get a big endorphine high and then hit the gym.
I've never had lung issues in my life. I stopped the hcg just because I was sick n miserable. I'm feeling better but again hating I can't get happy. Pains bad so figured okay it's all pain related. I started up on hcg and bam week later I'm getting upbeat even though I'm still thinking sawing off leg with a sawzall might make some of pain go away (not literally I'm just a morbid sick twisted sob after to many years dealing with worst of worst) but that's how I remember it first time I went on hcg too.
My insurance offered to double all my meds for same price if I did their mail order bs. Like an Idot I took them up on it. Their pharmacist cut off the extra T and canceled the script I had for an AI!!!! So instead of a ten cc vial I got a total of 6, 6cc vials and not the 20cc they promised!!! They got my dose lowered for T, I lost my AI. I did get 20,000 iu of hcg and no bill for it. They also admitted they screwed me the last 5 years on my trt when I paid full boat but refused to reimburse me!!!!
For the hcg think cheap illicit hcg prices. I will message pharmacy info. I don't think listing em is proper. They are in US and require a script. When I talked to them last year, I think the shipped for free too.
I know they get a lot of trt patients.
