Hey. I have been on Androgel for month and a half and its really not raising my T like I want and need. I dont know my history of T levels because I havent had insurance in over 10 years until recently. When I did get my T checked after feeling like crap for a while and not recovering from workouts like I used to, it was 176. After going through a long process with Oxford, they finally approved to cover Androgel. The doctor had to send an appeals letter because they initially denied the request to cover the gel; they wanted me to take Tesim 1%. I go to pick up the Androgel at the pharmacy and it was about $125. F THAT. Thats just absurd.
So I am going to an endocrinologist with my past 4 sets of blood work and assume he will agree to do Test Cyp injections. It was tough getting the Androgel approved so I am worried about them approving the injections.
Anyone with some input?
Thanks,
