wondering about lump at injection site

hi i am a young male and aspiring bodybuilder,i am 18 years old and have safely been using low dosages of anabolic steroids for about 6 - 8 months not sure exactly how long cycling on and off with no problems, but for the past two weeks I've had a lump on my glute does not hurt, no redness it was while i was using test prop and i heard that it could just be from that but i wanted to make sure it was not an abscess when should i worry about it being and abscess.

Sounds like it could be a Sterile Abscess or you missed injecting into the muscle (not deep enough) and it is taking a while to absorb. Probably the former.

How many ml's did you inject? What size needle? What is your body fat %?

How much test are you running per week? What else are you running?

only one ml and when it happend i believe i was running deca not to sure and 23g could have been inch or inch and a half, around 7% -8% body fat, not sure because I'm not 100% on which injection made it happen, should i be worried though? it does not hurt and its not red or itchy, and also thanks for replying!

I wouldn't worry. It will go away. Just don't pin the same spot until it has healed. Watch for signs of infection.

You should be very worried however about the fact that you are using steroids at the age of 18. You are causing serious harm to your HPTA / Endocrine System.

yeah I've heard that a lot but my number one dream is to be one of the biggest names in bodybuilding which is 100% possible if i know what I'm doing and stay consistent with it and doing all the thing required and as you know as well as everyone in the game, to be anything you need steroids so i don't plan on getting off for a long time other then off cycles, but i would like to ask you is since i do not plan on getting off and it would be hard for someone to convince me to get off, what is your best advice other then obvious things like pct, for someone my age to stay as safe as possible though out my journey.

Okay I'm not going to rant at you for being `18`. But you say "IF I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING" - and you don't. Check your log of pins...oh wait, you don't have a log of everytime you inject yourself ? and with what products.....

Let me suggest something - get a notebook, write down the date, time, what product you are injecting. Make notes on any thing that may have to do with that injection.
For me, I can go back several years and see where I made a mistake and what I did to fix it.

Don't panic, but make yourself a plan, write it down, make notes, change things when it stops working (plateau's) and keep moving forward towards your goal of being "the biggest name in bodybuilding".
Good luck

P.s. you'll be fine...check it (the lump) for redness/soreness...if it gets worse, see a doctor

thank you i appreciate your feed back, its funny you say start keeping logs because i literally just started to this week

Could be just a bad injection. Moving the needle during injection or or a muscle twitch while injecting.

Make no mistake, you will known if its an abscess.

I did the same thing a month ago and had a knot in my right delt for a week.

Why would you PCT if you are going to be on for life? That's a big decision to make at the ripe age of 18, but if you are committed why come off? As a friend of mine says, "PCT is for quitters."

Still at 18 you should come back in 4 years. Expect for sides to be more acute at your tender age.

I'm sorry man, but you've done very little homework when it comes to this stuff. You say low doses, and can't even say what compound it was. Heck, you don't even know how long you've been on!

Look, I am not your Internet Daddy, but you're fucking yourself up without any rhyme nor reason. The absolute number one thing that should be on your mind is staying healthy. This means that you should know what these hormones do, what to expect, proper doses and how to prevent side effects. I hazard to ask what AI you're using?

You need to read, read some more, then read again as much as you possibly can. This stuff is no joke, and while the damage you're doing may not be visible yet - it WILL be in the days to come. Growing tits (milk optional), pissing off your prostate, stroking out, developing a clot, having a heart attack, tearing tendons/ligaments/joints, stunting cognitive ability, stunting growth (not just height!), killing your ability to have children/get and maintain an erection, developing permanent scarring of your skin, and MANY more side effects await you - ESPECIALLY with your half assed approach to this.

I might seem harsh, but unless you're already placing in competitions, you may want to slow your roll down a bit - and educate yourself better before it's too late. No, asking questions on a forum doesn't count either.

I DO wish you the best of luck, I really do - but this is blatant abuse, which reflects poorly on all of us that use AAS.

My .02c :)

well i am taking tamoxifen citrate on off cycles and i don't really think i am doing that bed safety wise i know what I'm taking, what they do and i get my dosages from a vary experienced guy thats been in the game for around 25 years, so i trust my sources the only thing you really have me on is not knowing exactly when i started, but i do really appreciate you being honest and i didn't take it as you being mean haha but i am 194lbs right now 7-8% body fat and plan on working up to 200lbs same body fat then cutting down from there to compete, just a little background on myself i started training 5ish years ago as a freshman in high school because i played football and was good but just too small so i got bigger then by my senior year i was around 170lbs then i started using gear at the end of the year and have been on and off ever sense, it was a huge decision for me and a long thought too, i thought about it every single night doing research ect, so saying that i do not plan on getting off for a while so if you could give me your best advice it would vary much appreciated!

i use pct so one, my AR does not get as immune to the gear two to help get my endocrine system back to normal for better results for future cycles and for better health.

I'm very glad that you didn't take my post the wrong way. The problem is that I've seen soooooooooooo many cycles planned out for guys by someone that really has no idea what they're doing. Blindly trusting your source is not wise - it's a conflict of interest in fact. ;)

I'm not going to lecture you any further, but I STRONGLY urge you to read the FAQ here at the top of the AAS forum, so you don't have to rely on others when it comes to things that will impact you for the rest of your life.

I don't mind helping guys to do things safely, as long as they truly understand and accept the full breadth of what they're getting into. I may not agree with folks your age cycling, but I would rather you at least do things properly. Just remember, if things go south, getting a doctor to help out will be way worse than my lecture. :p
