12 % body fat - how low to go?

Nope

I still have some stubborn fat on my stomach (like everyone) and a bit on my chest

How low do I need to get my body fat % in order to finally burn this?

I'm 6' 1" 190lbs, 24 yrs old...workout 5 days/wk

Once you start going below 10% you will see some dramatic results, work your abs like a madman and keep your protein high and your carbs low. It is a pain but keep at it, the results are worth it.

Bodyfat distribution is not the same on everyone, but 10% and under are pretty good marks to go for. 8% is when things really start to look good, but thats pretty low for some of us.

Carefull caloric deficit.

I'm not sure what you mean...Other than watching carbs and calories, is there anything else I can do to lower body fat? Whether it be diet or exercise?

Carbs and calories are your two biggies, and of course protein to help avoid muscle loss, and fats have various roles for hormonal production, slowing of protein digestion, etc

Exercise I dont do other than weights, I dont do any cardio and I dont want to. If I do any at all then I prefer walking, for up to an hour a day which puts me about 4.5 miles around a certain lake nearby.

If you want to go that route, then cardio HIIT or standard on an empty stomach in the AM is the typical way of hitting fat stores as best as possible, just make sure to load up when you return home so you aren't continuously in a catabolic state.

Thanks so much.

Do you think I should do 45 min cardio instead of 30min that I do normally? I don't know if I'll be able to do that in the morning, cuz I have to drvie 45 min to work to be there for 9am mon-fri...so I'd have to wake up around 5am everyday

Maybe I'll skip cardio in AM workouts, and 45 min in PM workouts

Also, if you could answer this too...I know you need to rest properly while cutting, so how many days/week should I workout?

I drive an hour or more each way every day, I know what its like.

If you can do 45 minutes, that would help - but dieting takes time.

I workout 5 days a week, sometimes 6, it depends on you. If you are juicing 5-6 should be fine, at times I go as low as 4 days a week.
