2 ways to leg press.....

I figured out that if you incline the leg press seat more it helps you press more weight because your quads press into your torso like your being squished. I can use much more weight when I do it like this.

But if I decline the seat back, your quads dont touch your torso making the leg press way harder, more like a squat. You use less weight but its harder.

Which way is better for gaining strength? I hope you understand this guys. If I could show you, it would be easier to understand.

i put mine back. this way you get more work at the bottom. i also pause breifly at the bottom so i dont use momentum. it makes them tougher but it is worth it. make sure you ass stays on the seat too. you dont want it rocking cause that puts a lot of stress on the lumbar region. very unnatural postion. it would ne like squatting bent over all the way.
 
Seat all the way back for me. If you can't go deep enough on the press, you wont actuate the glutes or erectors as much. They may not e your target for leg press, but they get a great workout if done properly.
 
Well seat forward I can use 5 plates per side. If the seat is back I can use 9 plates per side.

They are both the same difficulty. Which way is better?
