23 - Help Me Make Some Decisions! Low Free Test

Alright so I've had depression symptoms (poor mood, extremely cloudy thinking, numbness, causing a whole host of personal and social problems) for about 4 years now which peaked about 1 year ago and is slightly better now. I've got semi strict on my diet and that's helped some and it has just lessened in severity for some reason, which is great but I'm still in a pretty bad place. I went on Welbutrin and Zoloft one after the other and they didn't really make much of a difference for me so I went off that path and sort of just went about my life trying to make the best of it.

I had an extremely late puberty probably starting at 14 and am now 23 with very little facial hair so I thought you know what there's no way in hell i don't have low testosterone. So I got some blood work done and here are the results:

Free Test @ 8.9 pg/mL (9.3 - 26.5)
Total Test @ 399 ng/dL (348-1197)
25-OH VIT D @ 26.5 ng/mL (30.0 - 100.0)

I'm now taking a Vit D Supplement 2000 IU/day

The second I mentioned my symptoms the doctor instantly told me it's probably not that and that I was most definitely going to be disappointed in my test results and that I can come pick up my anti depressants tomorrow... er oops I mean if you want to go that route. He literally said this. I have yet to go in for a follow up as I want to be informed before I do because there's a lot of things people are talking about around here that I don't quite understand. I'm all for going on an anti depressant if that is the right choice as I am really struggling and would be so grateful if they would help me at this point but I don't want to go on them for 8 weeks just to satisfy this guys desire to push meds on me if it's not the real problem.

What do you guys think? I have other results too if needed, I have reactivated EBV at the moment as well so that's leading to a lot of the fatigue but this problem is much deeper than that alone.

Thanks guys! Feel free to ask any questions about anything else you might need to know, really want to figure out what is going on I'm not able to accomplish what I want to in life at the moment because of the chaos of this problem, really sucks.

I say find a new doc. Treating symptoms with highly habit forming drugs is no bueno. There are a TON of other tests that he should have ran as well - I don't remember them all off the top of my head aside from TSH/LH/FSH/T3/T4/rT3/rT4 but these are necessary to determine if you are primary or secondary hypogonadic. Increase My T guys seem to have a lot of happy customers around here too, so that might be something to keep in mind.

Good luck! :)

Yeah I'm feelin the same thing. From my results though do you think I should keep pursuing possible TRT? I'm fine for whatever works but my doc is obviously pushing meds on me.

TSH 1.19 UIU/ML (0.34 - 5.60)

That's the only other result that I have
