Haven't had a chance to pull up my thyroid labs yet (only remember that they were normal) but I wanted to update on my visit with my endo today.
Because my prolactin was high and everything other than T was normal, he wrote me a prescription for cabergoline .5mg once a week. He wants to retest prolactin and T in 4 weeks to see if lowering the prolactin will help T levels to rise.
Any thoughts on this approach? It seems like cabergoline has some positive effects (based on my limited internet research) but I'm skeptical if it'll make a big enough difference on my T production to really solve this problem. Anybody have any experience with something similar or have any thoughts on the possible effectiveness of this approach?
Thanks!
