I first want to make something clear, solid muscle has not given me anything for free, they have not contacted me, they dont even know who i am wheni ordered from them...

In a world where the supp industry blabs nonsens in your head and charges you an arm and a leg for their products, it is good ot see a company keeping two things legit:

1. striaght up, pure, no non-sense products
2. reasonable pricing

I ordered a 5lb bag of solid muscles whey isolate.. i personally think whey isolate is the best way to go. the fat content is very low.. there are barely any carbs and the whey protein gets into your system quickly enough... keep it simple and let it do its job.. i like that..

SHIPPING

it took about 5 days for my whey to arive.. arrived to my door without issue. the packaging is great, it has a ziplock bag on to so you can use and reseal as you see fit.

Price
at under 50 dollars per 5lbs, i cant see how you can go wrong.. a 5lb bag of premium whey at your local gnc is almost 100 dollars now!!! i paid under 50 bucks for my whey isoalte from solid muscle.. talk about an amazing deal!!!

TASTE

If theres anything that bugs me more, its a whey product that tastes like shit.. i am big choclate fan so i picked up that flavor.. the choclate tastes creamy and doesn't have that "artificial" flavor to it. it dissolves well in liquid (i use almond milk for my shakes or water) and it doesn't clump up as long as you use the right amount of liquid to serving..

Hands down guys this is a great product. Im not big on supps as most of you know.. i use whey once a day post workout.. but when i do make a choice i make a educated chocie.. solid muscle has my vote..

hope this helps some of you make a good decision and save money at the same time

on pro complex is differnet.. it pulls from 8 differen protein sources... now im a fan of on pro complex.. but its 100 dollars for the same amount of isolate you get from solid muscle..

when it comes down to getting protein in post workout whey isolate does a perfectly fine job..

i for one am tired of the expensive prices that whey products have accured.. and i only have it once a day.. a 5lb bag would last me 1 1/2 months.. lol i would rather save my money and use something that will work just fine, if not go above and beyond, for my needs..

again guys, i love on pro complex because it pulls from 8 protein sources.. this is an issue of return of interest.. solid muscle gives a product that is great and will do what is necessary for your protein needs post workout for a price that cant be matched and service that is diligent to your order

I was gonna order some from ON, but ill give solid muscle a try. I use another small company for products, seems like small company products are better and more pure too.

I tried out the whey isolate and was totally impressed tasted awesome and was a good price. Anyone tried the berry? Interested in trying it but not sure about it.

I would actually like an answer to that too. I'm usually against anything.but chocolate but you need a change to the taste buds every once in a while.

I've been blessed ...wink wink. THe Sponsors Sent me some a while back. THe Berry Blast is actually Blue Berry . It's really sweet. My wife wasn't a fan but my son and I love it.

I prefer THe Solid muscle Isolate to the ON product For Post workout. It is a better product post workout.

THe ON complex mixes a few different protein sources in an attempt to cut the expense per unit.

The whole reason for using Whey is because you have a very short anabolic window ( 15 minutes ) post work to replenish up to 76 % of the glycogen stores used training. Whey is absorbed in the lining of the stomach and not the intestine. Casein is not absorbed in the stomach is not a good choice post workout it is better suited for PM formulas.

Anyway I have the strawberry it is fantastic. The ice cream sandwich is not what I was expecting. It tastes good but just not what I was hoping for. The Peanut butter flavor is killer. It's nice to have a choice. Gone are the old days of just chocolate day in and out.

A big thanks to the owners of Solid Muscle for the Xmas gift.

lucky lucky you! I say where they had a half pound sample promotion back in april... poo on me for missing it!

I use them primarily pre workout and for meal (snack) replacements. What would you recommend in that case? anything different

in a perfect world I have a shake inthe morning (protein pwdr, almond milk, kale and spinach plus some gluten free oatmeal or almonds if i want more body and texture), then after workout and before work some eggs and turkey sausage. This gets me to lunch at 11 and then usually a meal high protein bar of some sort for afternoon snack, and then dinner. I was making protein shakes for an evening snack until this bitter crap I got. Would love to return to that.

Other than that, the creatine I have is super sweet berry flavored. Would it mix well with the berry protein?

Yes or the Vanilla or the strawberry.

With the increased load of food intake I prefer the isolate to any other protein supplement. Now if Solid Muscle could come up with a grass fed prime rib....LOL

nice! though not a powdered prime rib.

So to be clear, you're recommending the isolate in all cases- pre or post workout, or as a meal replacement? I'm not opposed to having more than one product around.

I pm'd and emailed solidmuscle, I'm hoping they have some of their half pound packages available in a closet somewhere ;-)

Yes I'm pro Isolate. One of the nicest things about the Solid Muscle Isolate is it doesn't have the thickeners in it. There is nothing to be gained by thickeners. They just sit in your bowels.

ON Gold Standard is what I know, so I doubt I'll ever deviate.. But good to know there are other decent options out there.

Me too, but then I started checking out solid muscle... and I like it way better! Besides the cheapest I can ever find GS for is 52.99, and they use more whey concentrate then isolate. SM is pure isolate for cheaper even after shipping.

Seeing as how solid muscle is back on ology I thought this deserves a bump!
