5x5 program (have I got this right?)

K so this is the routine I'm planning on following. I've heard good feedback on 5x5 routines so hopefully this turns out well. What day guys think? Any feedback is welcome and always appreciate.

DAY1
Smith/Machine Press 5x5
Inc Dumbell Press 2x8
Inc Dumbell Flye. 2x8

Barbell Curls 5x5
Alt Dumbbell Curls 2x8
Rev Grip Bar Curls 2x8

DAY2
Close Grip Bench 5x5
Rope Pushdownd 2x8
Dumbbell Tricep Ext 2x8

Deadlift 5x5
Pullups 2x8
Cable Row 2x8

DAY3
Smith/Machine Press 5x5
Rev-Pec Dec Flyes 2x8
Lat Raises 2x8

Leg Press 5x5
Leg Ext 2x8
Leg Curl 2x8
 
My advice to you is to get off the smith machine! that POS causes more injuries for people than anything. It restricts movement too much. Get on the flat bench!! ;)
 
I agree with Zeek, get off the smoth machine and do regular bench press. Also, if you can squat....do it instead of leg press.

5x5 is a great workout. I'm currently doing a 5x5 routine now and love it!!
 
Im suffering from lower back and knee injuries which ive been recuperating for the past several months. The only squats im doin atm are goblet squats because there easier on the spine. I aim to get back to squattin. But at the moment I'm gonna stick with leg presses until I get a bit stronger and confident.

So lose the S/M and I'm good to go?

that sounds fair. here is a layout of the my current 5x5 routine i've been doing.

Day 1:
Squats 5x5 same weight
Bench press 5x5 same weight
Bent over rows 5x5 same weight
chin up 4x max

Day 2:
military press 5x5 same weight
deadlift 5x5 same weight
High pulls 5x5 same weight
weighted dips 4x max

Day 3:
squats 5x5 but i start light and add more weight every set and the last set is my 5 rep max

Bench press...same as squat

Bent over rows...same thing

chin ups 3x max

dips 3 sets max.


Killer fucking routine....gets you strong as hell and great for adding size!
 
Cheers for sharing that bud. That looks pretty brutal I might try work my way up to that one. Will take me some time tho lol.
