A "new" twist on teens taking steroids.

Pow!er...

So I've seen a couple posts of kids wanting to take steroids etc. and it's always for the wrong reasons "to get super big" or whatever, something it would make sense to wait for because you have lots of time to "get super big" and people always respond with "that's stupid" which it is.

But here's what I am sort of wondering, and also wondering what you guys think about this, say a teenager is an aspiring athlete with dreams of going to the olympics, I personally think there are certain ethical boundries in world sport especially ones who are supposed to be "natural" or who test anyway but that's not the point. This kid isn't trying to be "super big" he doesn't have time to wait until he's 25 when he's nearly passed his window to get into the Olympics and reach his "natural max" he needs to get a competitive edge earlier on, I'm not saying 15 or anything. what do you guys think? I never seem to see this point of view.

I think there's always an exception to the rule, but let's be clear here: You have to have extraordinary genetics and drive before even THINKING of AAS. The amount of time alone devoted to such sports is far beyond what most younger guys can comprehend. So sure, if you have the resources, the genetic makeup, the skill, and the drive, by all means go get that gold medal - otherwise take care of your body and do things the right way. I wouldn't call this a twist, it's more of an exclusion to the rule by circumstance.

if you need to play your ace card to get anywheres near the olypmics than you most likely won't make it

if you're close and you play it to make it, or to win in it, most likely you'll have doctors and coaches by your side teaching you the correct ways to run it

meaning you wouldn't be on a forum asking about it

meaning dont take steroids

WELL said

I'm absolutely not talking about myself, haha. Just thought it was sort of interesting, pretty much explains my motives for posting in the post, but thank you guys honestly for the responses, keep 'em coming!

I think this is a major point people dont consider. Every forum has a biological age (usually 25) that you are physically 'ready' but people take that way too literally. If you're 24 and you've been lifting for a year and never taken diet seriously, very seriously, then your 25th birthday isnt some magical day you wake up and are now ready to start pinning. With that in mind, an teenager who truly has olympics in his sight, isnt going to go to a bunch of strangers on a website to judge his motivation for him and reassure him or talk him out of something he clearly isnt ready for or truly wants.

The bodybuilders that started using at a young age that people use as justification as to 'well if Jay started young then I can because hes alive and I want to be mr olympia'...No you dont and you never will. Whether or not it's 'safe' these guys got to where they are because they dont give two shits what age is appropriate to start using and it's easier to sit back and criticize them for it but theres a reason they are where they are.

As far as a teenager, again i can sit back behind my computer and say he's an idiot for starting at 17 or whatever but in some twisted way I do respect the absolute unwavering determination...even though only 1 out of probably 50,000 will ever amount to anything more than some old man on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) saying he should have waited and educated himself.

Thats my rant for the day.

i could see this being a really tough choice is for younger guys who have a very small window of opportunity for making it in their chosen sport..

from what I've seen , the hardline against young guys using AS here is directed towards these kids boosting because they have low self esteem and are looking for short cuts to get somewhere that they can feel better about themselves.. sad really

If you want to be in the Olympics and can't atleast get really close without steroids you should probably get a real day job instead

I wouldn't consider myself at my peak, I do have problems hard gaining, but a little test can help you breakthrough the hard spots and project you in the area you want to be. I have always been a small guy up until a few weeks ago, but its not an answer to everyone's problems, I'm starting to get to where I want to be, and I can't say its just because of a good diet and hard training, I got a little extra push to help me get there.

If we are talking performance enhancement there are so many things you can do, over the counter or black market. I use Viagra before I Sparr or Roll, light dose, just started recently. Im also on a cycle, but im 29 years old. You don't want to burn yourself out at a young age cuz youll be like a 60 year old when your my age lol. Countless energy drinks while on retarted pillz, shitloads of gatorade ROFL, takes a toll on you. I am also curious, because I don't see much talk of performance enhancement on this forum LOL.
