First of all I want to say I do not condone the use or encourage the use of AAS in our youth.
That being said I love this F'n site! I'm new to it but learning a lot along with personal research. I thought it would be different to give the overall outlook of AAS by one of the younger crowd.
I see every day a younger guy around my age (20/21) asking about what cycle he should do. I'm guilty of this as well but I'm a fast learner and am now on the side of the Vets on this site.
Reasons why i think the youth should stay away:
1. Majority are not mature enough in regards to mental maturity level to really handle the power of the punch in these AAS.
2. Most youth will not try to find a well known UGL or a reliable source, but will instead use the sketchy guy at the gym who is awkwardly bulky and hits his Chest and Bis every day in the gym. The majority of this stereotypical dealer takes advantage of the ignorance displayed in MY youth of today. Most of this gear is total crap and the dealer will probably tell them how to use it and along with the gear, the advice will be complete crap as well! See it happen first hand.
3. The typical medical stuff concerning growth plates and an immature hormonal system that is already bouncing off the freakin walls. Disturbing this can lead to deep shit.
4. Illegal and ruining your record and probably costing your legal guardian(s) a shit ton of money in court/ probation/ bonds and i have come to find this selfish as hell.
5. This point will be long winded. Most guys my age that hop on gear don't stay on for life. Most guys ive seen say they want to get lean and big for the summer. If you are screwing with one of the vital systems in your body it needs to be a life choice. Sure a lot of guys that are young say "im gonna blast and cruise for now on because I want to be a pro." VERY FEW MY AGE REALLY KNOW WHAT THEY WANT TO DO! How many times do most college students change their mind on majors? So hopping on gear sounds dumb to do for a short term shortcut that may cause a lifetime of problems. Now there are those few exceptions in this world like some of the pros. I don't THINK these gents waited till 25 to start their cycles. But they were "lucky" in a way considering they stuck with the sport and had nothing get in the way of it. In this world, at a young age a lot can happen before you are 25. Priorities change, money can be scarce, hell you could even have an unexpected kid. Anyway, in my opinion most guys jumping on gear don't stay on it and ruin their systems in the long run. Its more of a life choice in my opinion and should be treated as such. Most young adults my age aren't ready for that life choice.
Now personally i didnt consider use until after a second surgery i had. I may be prone to hernias as you can basically be born with them. I know of an individual who doesn't even lift and has had 4 different hernia surgeries. Certain AAS aid significantly in collagen synthesis which plays a crucial roll in hernia prevention and hernia recovery. I somewhat have a fear of developing another. If i do in the future I'll be right back at considering it again.
BTW: hernias were not a cause of improper lifting. The first one developed slowly and the doc said i could have been born with both of them. This does happen and is very common.
But anyway that's my opinion on the subject: We have a "live fast die young" mentality these days and i personally find it selfish because of the pain we can put our families through for living this way.
Sorry so long winded! Peace!
