AAS from one of the younger guy's point of view

First of all I want to say I do not condone the use or encourage the use of AAS in our youth.
That being said I love this F'n site! I'm new to it but learning a lot along with personal research. I thought it would be different to give the overall outlook of AAS by one of the younger crowd.
I see every day a younger guy around my age (20/21) asking about what cycle he should do. I'm guilty of this as well but I'm a fast learner and am now on the side of the Vets on this site.
Reasons why i think the youth should stay away:
1. Majority are not mature enough in regards to mental maturity level to really handle the power of the punch in these AAS.
2. Most youth will not try to find a well known UGL or a reliable source, but will instead use the sketchy guy at the gym who is awkwardly bulky and hits his Chest and Bis every day in the gym. The majority of this stereotypical dealer takes advantage of the ignorance displayed in MY youth of today. Most of this gear is total crap and the dealer will probably tell them how to use it and along with the gear, the advice will be complete crap as well! See it happen first hand.
3. The typical medical stuff concerning growth plates and an immature hormonal system that is already bouncing off the freakin walls. Disturbing this can lead to deep shit.
4. Illegal and ruining your record and probably costing your legal guardian(s) a shit ton of money in court/ probation/ bonds and i have come to find this selfish as hell.
5. This point will be long winded. Most guys my age that hop on gear don't stay on for life. Most guys ive seen say they want to get lean and big for the summer. If you are screwing with one of the vital systems in your body it needs to be a life choice. Sure a lot of guys that are young say "im gonna blast and cruise for now on because I want to be a pro." VERY FEW MY AGE REALLY KNOW WHAT THEY WANT TO DO! How many times do most college students change their mind on majors? So hopping on gear sounds dumb to do for a short term shortcut that may cause a lifetime of problems. Now there are those few exceptions in this world like some of the pros. I don't THINK these gents waited till 25 to start their cycles. But they were "lucky" in a way considering they stuck with the sport and had nothing get in the way of it. In this world, at a young age a lot can happen before you are 25. Priorities change, money can be scarce, hell you could even have an unexpected kid. Anyway, in my opinion most guys jumping on gear don't stay on it and ruin their systems in the long run. Its more of a life choice in my opinion and should be treated as such. Most young adults my age aren't ready for that life choice.

Now personally i didnt consider use until after a second surgery i had. I may be prone to hernias as you can basically be born with them. I know of an individual who doesn't even lift and has had 4 different hernia surgeries. Certain AAS aid significantly in collagen synthesis which plays a crucial roll in hernia prevention and hernia recovery. I somewhat have a fear of developing another. If i do in the future I'll be right back at considering it again.
BTW: hernias were not a cause of improper lifting. The first one developed slowly and the doc said i could have been born with both of them. This does happen and is very common.

But anyway that's my opinion on the subject: We have a "live fast die young" mentality these days and i personally find it selfish because of the pain we can put our families through for living this way.

Sorry so long winded! Peace!

Thanks for sharing your perspective, frank. And yes there definitely does seem to be a lack of concern for longevity (and general respect for others) among today's youth. If only every "kid" that was looking at steroids as their quick boost had the intelligence to read up like you've done, we'd have a lot less rampant teenage abusers on our hands.

You do personally bring a totally unique set of circumstance to the table with your situation and I'm not totally up to speed on hernias vs. deca... but you could have a great mid-20's legitimate cycle on your books! I'd be curious to see if the doctor would even prescribe such a thing as a therapeutic option. :) Stick around dude, you'll learn a lot and come across a great group of guys and gals willing to help you along the way.

Thanks for the.comment...there's a sticky on here about some AAS and the enhancement of collagen synthesis. A hernia typically isn't a tear in the muscle...most common in the abdomin it is a tear in the fasica...not sure if that's the correct spelling...but it's composed mainly of collagen. And from what I've read 1 or 2 maybe 8 wk cycles a year could really help in repairing the damage done to your tendons and other collagen composed body features....
But talked to a Dr off the record about that theory and he concluded that it could aid in prevention and recovery of a your typical hernia.
Thanks again!

i did my first cycle when i was 20.... and i believe it was the best choice in my life, that 1 cycle opened up so many doors for me :D,

Are you actually being legit? I'm twenty-one, I know still a bit young, but done heaps of research and I won't be abusing. I'll probably do three cycles at most in my whole life, and that's being honest. I hope I don't get addicted to feeling like a god though lol.

ahaha you got mod negged... weren't you telling people not to listen to me cause im red :flipoff: and yes i ran my first blast at 20, but i was also on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) prior to that.... so for all i know i could had 15+ years of low t so now im just doing catch up, i researched it for about a year or so before even considering gear, you'll loose gains, it doesn't stop at 3 cycles, the second u finish pct, you'll lose that nice roundness in your muscle, you'll get fat... etc, steroids and bodybuilding are long term sports, gotta do it for a long time, also you don't feel like a god on gear, thats just a bunch of people with placebo effects.. you feel normal, sometimes more happy but never like a god....

I'm talking about those who have a healthy hormonal system at my age....if you were on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) that young than u didn't have much to worry about...the majority of us do if we throw our system into a rollercoaster before its big enough to ride it....

I heard mentally you feel amazing, as well as physically too obviously. I heard you feel much more confident, have a greater sense of well being, you are more outgoing, you'd do things you normally wouldn't do etc. I may have gone a little over the top with saying you feel like a god, but surely you can feel a difference mentally as well?

As for stopping at three cycles, that's an honest statement by me. I don't want to go over my genetic maximum to be honest. I'm not after the huge, blocky, and thick steroid look. I'm more after the lean, permanently shredded and tapered look, in proportion etc. I know you are bound to lose some gains. But surely if you kept your diet together during PCT and post PCT, and kept smashing the gym and working hard, then your loss of gains would be kept to a minimum?
