So I have to see an Endo in a couple of weeks. Can you guys give me any advice on how to talk to him?
He's young and seems physically active. But I know these guys write down everything.
That doc is sending me to him...I'm not going back to that family doc but I don't want to disclose my discontent with the family doc at this interview.
I'm going to request the doctor to not send an update to him.
How can I make sure he wont write anything that can effect my future health insurance e.t.c.
Before I went to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doc...he will ask me why I went there...

It doesn't hurt to get things looked at with this endo...but it's too little too late with this family doc. He had years to send me to an endo...he never gave a fuck. Just like he never gave a fuck about running a sleep study for 5 years while complaining low energy....
Give me some advice guys....

There's really nothing you can do to prevent him from writing things in his notes.
Most doctors offices operate on private networks meaning that anything they write down is accessible by any of your doctors. Going in there looking to get on test and coming right out and asking him not to record it is a major red flag for any professional.

What are you trying to hide from this new guy?

It's the same approach for any new doctor, be pleasant when you meet him.
Don't come off like you have a hidden agenda and approach the whole subject as if you're trying to feel well again.
You may have to play ball a little with this guy as you build a relationship of trust.

Why are you worried about this affecting your future insurability?

I totally agree with 71. Just approach it from the "getting better" standpoint. If you honestly feel like low t then it should happen. You must go through all the hoops, as it were.
