Hi girls, can I please have some advice for my girlfriend. She has a normal physique except for a bit of cellulite on her legs. Will normal training, diet and fat burners help for this or does cellulite require anything special? Sorry for such a dumbass question but being a guy I have never had to deal with cellulite before.

heavy weight training, cardio and a clean diet should help, yes.
what is her current routine/diet like.. that may need adjusting,
Keep in mind that it will not just disappear overnight. takes time and hard work.

Yes, you definitely want to incorporate the weight training and the cardio in there that's for sure. Diet is probably the most important thing when trying to lose fat. Be sure she's eating small meals throughout the day and make sure she is taking in enough protein as well. it is also very important for her to try to drink approximately a gallon of water a day. What is her diet like now? Perhaps you could post an idea of how she eats and we can clean it up for you if it needs to be. :)

Thanks girls!!
breakfast - bowl of bran cereal
lunch - sandwich (tuna or chicken)
2pm - protein shake
dinner - chicken or fish with vegetable or salad

She is also using an ephedra based fat burner

She has started training 5 days a week doing weight training on 3 days and cardio on 2 days.

thanks for posting that!
first off I dont see any protein source at breakfast..does she like egg whites?could also add a yolk. Im not sure waht type of bran cereal you are using, but generally most are fairly processed. if she can try some old fashioned oats, the plain type but she can add sweetness with adding in some splenda sweetner and vanilla,or cinnamon.. the possibilites are endless.

how far apart is her breakfast and lunch? ideally she wants to me eating every 2.5-3 hrs to keep her metabolism stoaked. preferably a protein source and carb or veggies.

Even if that sandwhich at lunch was whole wheat bread, its not a very good choice for carbs... far too over processed. Better choices include, brown rice, old fashioned oats, sweet potatoes, yams, legumes, fiberous vegetables.

what does the protein shake consist of.. just whey protein and water?

dinner looks good.

Im not seeing any HEALTHY FATS in her diet though.. most are mistaken that fat will make you fat. If you are consuming the right kinds, it can actually aid in the fat burning process. EFA sources include flax seed oil/ground falx seeds(added fiber!!), olive oil, natural peanut butter, nuts/seeds in moderation, fatty fish such as salmon, mackeral, etc.

what does her weight training consist of? how many exercies per body part? is she lifting until failure? sets? reps?
also depending on her rate of fatloss 2 days of cardio may not be enough. If at all possible get her to try cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.. and also interval training is a great help for fat burning and keep metabolism revved imo!

sorry for all the added questions.. just trying to help!

Four meals is not enough. You need to try to get her to eat a little more during the day. Another couple of meals or snacks would help.
I agree with Jen in saying that there aren't enough good fats in her diet. Add a tablespoon of flax oil to her shakes. That's a quick and easy way to ensure you're getting some good fat in there.
One question that I would have is what time is she doing her weight training at?
lol...I know it may seem like you are being bombarded with questions but the more we know, the more we'll be able to help. :)

Sorry for the d-lay
I'll try answer all your questions
The protein shake is EAS precision protein and water.
She has now included omega 3 and 6 supplimentation
It's usually about 5 hours between breakfast and lunch
Her traininig has been 5 sets per body part 15 reps - not to failure
She is running about 6 km a day on the treadmill (3 days a week now)

In that 5 hour space, is she having a snack or something?
If not, you totally need to incorporate something in there. Five hours is far too long to go without eating. She should be eating roughly every 2.5 hours.
She's only doing 5 sets total for each bodypart? Is she just starting out with the weight training? If not, how long has she been training for? Would you like us to perhaps make her up a weight training program? Once again, sorry for all the questions. ;)

No she's not having anything in the 5 hour period, what would you suggest?
She's 26 and is just starting out in the gym. The program she is using is something one of the trainers at the gym put together. I'm not too sure how clued up they are though. I would appreciate it if you could give me a program for her.

Thanks Fyre yur a honey!
