After months of being stuck and no noticable growth on chest, I dropped flat bench completely and hopped on incline only. Other's and I have noticed a big growth with only a few months.
could it be that it was just a change in the routine that made you grow? i thought flat was superior to incline and that it hits your whole chest. try weighted dips elbows out. a great pec exercise. i do them after flat/incline dumbell pressing.
Just the change prolly helped you get past the sticking point. Another great exercise is the weighted dip- elbows out as was mentioned above. Lean forward for varying degrees of chest muscle fibre recruitment.
actually i might try doing weighted dips first before flat dumbells next time. i really wanna feel the exact muscles it works. i would feel the pump a few sets in to get the feel. just gonna have to warm up real good though.
I've been doing flat bench, then incline then cables for a while, sometimes throw in some dips and incline.
Now it's Incline, Decline on machine, and then dips. Noticed growth in full chest, especially upper, and some growth on front delts.
I've changed routines before and this is the first one that I've found to work in front of my eyes.
I've also upped my reps, 8-15.
