I have no fricking idea why some of you would be rude to this man. WTF is up with that? He has no experience with AAS, is 48 yrs old, keeps himself in good shape and some of you assholes find it necessary to flame him for asking a valid question???? WTF is wrong with you (lion king and others)?

Gazza - hopefully some of the rude and unnecessary comments made on this thread don't discourage you from continuing your research. Check out some other boards too that have forums for people 40 and over. Obviously the intelligence level of some of the members on this thread leaves a lot to be desired.

Thanks to everyone who has provided positive, supportive and informative comments they are much appreciated. A great shame for the not so positive comments.

However, in my opinion Steroidology is a great site providing a wealth of information from all levels of experience and I certainly won't let the negativity an ill-informed comments deter me from using the site in the future.

Once again thanks to all those who took the time to provide their comments

What are your goals? You're a pretty decent size right now for someone who just wants to be in good shape and look good. I'll bet you look and feel better than 95% of guys your age. That said, if your desired goals involve gaining more lean muscle mass for whatever reason then, no, you're not too old to start running a cycle. As others have mentioned, it's best to get comprehensive blood work done first so you can establish a baseline for different important values like thyroid, LH, FSH, test (both free and total), estrogen, prolactin, and all of your lipid profiles.

Then, if everything looks good, do a search for "first cycle" and you'll get more feedback than you could possibly imagine.
I'm a bit concerned that if I started a few cycles and the hormones went out of whack. The doc might say for instance the lipids are terrible and psa is off the chart. I have to stop the treatments. Complicating that is I'm not recovering at all my normal T. I don't want doc to say lets leave all T alone and see if after a year it comes back to normal. I'd probably
be in worse shape than if if I never started at all. It's a small chance and it's a worse case scenario but I still wonder.
