So I(22, male, 200lbs, a bit skinnyfat) went to a doctor about my gyno (it's not terrible but I don't like it). I ran some blood tests before and my test is kinda low 470/13.8 and estradiol 30 is kind of high but both are technically normal per the ranges described. My FSH/LH are on the upper end of the spectrum at 8.3 and 6.6.
Anyway He said I probably wouldn't get rid of the gyno through drugs but said he would prescribe an estrogen blocker to try.(I have no idea what you're technically supposed to do so I couldn't make any suggestions or requests).
It's Anastrozole with 1/2mg twice a week.
I read that some estrogen is needed for healthy function and with use of this drug you risk some really bad side effects(osteoporosis among them).
Is this dosage safe for someone who's not taking external testosterone?(I understand its main use is to minimize estrogen creation when running test) If not would it be safe if I dropped it down to a 1/2 mg a week?
I don't like the gyno but I'm not going to risk serious health problems to try to get rid of it.
Also if it's not going to be safe or useful in a safe dosage for gyno, could it be used as a general supplement to help ones training or would I be better hanging onto it for if/when I run an actual cycle or use in conjunction with other drugs?
Lastly has anyone tried DIM? I couldn't get a clear answer if it reduces testosterone production or not. Reducing estrogen at the cost of reducing testosterone production, wouldn't serve an purpose in my case.
Also if anyone has experience getting rid of puberty gyno I would like to hear it how they did it.
