Any disadvantage to blending my carbs??

I'm changing the direction of this post...

So I've already learned that blending carbs doesn't have any negatives


I live a VERY busy lifestyle and I just simply don't have time to sit down and eat all of the time. (I do meal prep that's not the point) it's sitting down and spending 20 minutes eating a meal 6 times a day. I don't have time for that crap a lot of days..

IS THERE ANY DISADVANTAGE TO BLENDING FULL MEALS?

I don't care if it's gross i'd much rather blend some chicken and rice and chug it down than sit down and eat it.

It's all the same macros and micro nutrients but would having it blended up change anything? Does anyone have the science behind this?

I count macros and if I have carbs left over I will add carbs to a night protein smoothie and use oats or a banana to finish off my carbs always worked great for me
 
maybe slightly faster absorbtion?

should be fine, but id prob puke if i tried to drink rice chicken and potatoes in a drink for eg... lol

Well I just made a chicken and cooked brown rice/spinach shake..

I took one sip and gagged because of the thought of drinking chicken..the flavor wasn't bad but it still grossed me out..
However I held my nose and chugged the entire thing down within 2 minutes.. this will be KING to getting my macros in while saving time.
as long as this has no disadvantage I will be doing this a lot.
 
you should take digestive enzymes with it if you blend your food..

remember, when you chew there are important digestive enzymes in your mouth... when you blend you dont really chew...

so if you decide to blend, and there is nothing wrong with that, just take digestive enzymes with it

Drinking chicken? what do you eat all day, burger king and mikki D's I recon, bet your mom wasnt around much to cook for you in your youth if you gag at chicken soup.
If you really knew was was in those fast food burgers and fries that you eat all day you would not only gag but throw up as well. Do your diet homework holmes.

If you heat it up, season it properly you can drink it like a soup, goes down great and so good for you, I learned to like it when I broke my jaw in my youth and had it wired shut. but like 3J said they better be sure to get those digestive enzmes in there as well.
 
Takes literally 5 min to suck down a good meal myself
For instant 7oz chicken breast, 1 cup rice, 1 cup veggies
Doesnt take long at all to do so
But again i can eat a shit ton, sometimes i fast and dont get my first meal in till 2pm or so then i suck down 3 meals at once lol
Meal prep is so easy once u get your diet down pack
Literally takes me 20 min to prep and 40 min to cook
Done ( if that)
Cook all my meat at once, bake it all at once and done
Myself i rely on whole foods, maybe 1 shake a day thats it

it would remind me a puke or something. but if you can do it go for it man!
