Arachnis oil w/ Peanut Allergy?

I have severe anaphylaxis and have to carry an epipen with me everywhere I go.

The more i've been researching and finding out from sources about injectibles is that it's very common for the steroids to be suspended in Arachnis oil (which is another name for peanut oil).

I've read around and some people say it's perfectly safe because the way it's refined makes it safe for peanut allergy sufferers but I'm still not fully convinced. Injecting it doesn't seem like the smartest idea, but considering 3% of people have peanut allergies, surely someone on here has some sort of advice!

Cheers

Also I forgot to add : How would I find out what oil is used in my product? Is there ways to find out online if it's a pharmaceutical company and not a UGL? Each lab i've looked at thus far seems to use arachnis oil for nearly ever product!!

This is a very good question and concerned that you have and rightfully so because of fact it's something that could cause a serious immune response or even death...

Because of this exact circumstance, Euro Pharmacies ( carried by PSL) utilizes synthetic oils that are not drivatives of food products..

You really have to be careful because of lot of sources out there are simply just vendors and they in fact do not know the manufacturing/ compounding protocol that was utilized.. and a lot of times a private source will have a third party do the compounding for them not knowing the procedures that are taking place or even the concentration of the hormones....

This is the exact reason why EP stands in a class of their own...Euro-pharmacies knows more about their own products then most of their contenders know about there own!

And please do not take this as a promo, you simply asked a question that so happens to be right up our alley...

No need to take a chance. I wouldn't if I were you. Most ugl's use other carriers but I would ask, and don't depend a straight answer. Someone living in Romania with protection provided by the authorites doeswt care about you. Upside is peanut oil is seldom used. I only see it in pharm grade.

That said I have never heard of anyone dying from peanut oil as a carrier. Don't bet your life on it though. Cotten seed, gsa and others are available and you will not need to wonder next time you pin your gear.

I've never heard of pharmaceutical grade injectables using arachis oil, but DSHS does state that USP oils do not contain the allergens (proteins) that cause the anaphylaxis.

That said, I probably wouldn't chance UGL stuff unless I KNEW balls-to-bones that there weren't ANY allergens in the carrier.

I was going to say I can't think of any ugls that use it, but I think I had a Russian product a few years ago that did use it as a carrier. I don't have a peanut allergy though. Careful with Russian gear bro:)

Careful with mail order brides as well, a friend of a friend had a bad experiance. So Russian gear and brides pursue at your own risk.

Thanks man

The real pain in the ass is the fact that in theory, the oil "should" be ok as it's refined and the proteins are removed... but it's the not knowing 100%. Wish there was a way to test oil for proteins with a small amount.

I'm going to be running an oral only cycle next week (which I know is frowned upon but do you blame me?!)

If you can't do it right, don't do it at all. Sorry, I realize you're in a difficult position, but intentionally chemically castrating yourself isn't going to do much for you.

Haha I'm sure I'll find a way! Of course i'll find out what oil is used... but it could mean pinning whilst sitting outside A&E at hospital with 2 epipens on standby just as a precaution

Like what was said before - surely there'd be at least one article on a peanut related death with steroids online but there's not even one, that I can find anyway.

If it makes you feel better, I've only seen arachis oil used in enema applications, not injectables. You do realize that a subcutaneous injection with a very small dose is how allergen testing is done - might want to look into that to test the waters.

Of course, I'm NOT a doctor, and can't recommend in good conscience attempting something life threatening.

This is not a bad idea. I think before I do anything, I'll talk with my doctor and see what he knows. I wonder whether or not in the UK I can make requests to my doctor to take my blood and then do an allergen test on it with arachnis oil? Another way I could possibly go about doing it is applying a small amount of the oil to my skin and then pricking a small hole and see if there's a reaction.

just be careful.. make sure you have your epi pen on hand..

ideally it would be better to have it done under doc supervision

Was thinking of doing that, but here the drug is scheduled class C. I think it's legal to posses for personal use, but illegal to buy or sell (stupid laws), so I'm not sure i'd be permitted to do it infront of a doctor?

Been told Prostasia gear uses only grapeseed oil from one of the sources. Asked someone else who has used it who has anaphylaxis too but not as severe as me and they told me they were fine. They told me to put a small amount of oil on the back of my wrist first, and then on my tongue (if there's no reaction on my wrist)

Thoughts?? Anyone got experience with this brand?
