Are natty figure competitions really natty?

My girlfriend just did her first figure competition. It was a natty competition and she took second!

We were very happy with it because she looked great and it was her first show. However, the girl that beat her, and a few other girls on stage definitely looked like they had some passed AAS use and a good possibility of growth hormone (girl that won had a distinct bloat from growth)...

My girls really wants to try to put on a little more size and since i began using AAS she's been wanting to try out some var.

I havn't let her thus far but she was disheartened by how she looked (She though she looked to small, though she actually looked really good)

My question is if she did a bulking cycle with var, would it still be ethical to compete natty?

Var is not really a "bulking" hormonal, per se. IMO, using anything hormonal does not make you a natural athlete - others will disagree.

She can gain size by EATING to gain muscle and training to maximize mass.

I agree with both posters. Your GF should just let nature take its course. Time and rest with a solid well rounded meal plan will help with development of muscles there are no short cuts to hard earned growth and muscle maturity... that comes with time.

Dont let her get caught up in the size game and trying to compare herself with others on stage. She is unique as we all are none of us look the same or built the same and she should be very proud of her placing.

Anavar (var) is not really a "bulking" hormonal, per se. IMO, using anything hormonal does not make you a natural athlete - others will disagree.

Classic. :laugh4:

Your girl doesn't need Anavar (var) brother. Unless she wants to be a beast, she just needs to adjust the cals and the training.

Why compete Natural if your Not Natural? Yes it is unethical. Even if you think everyone else is doing it. I haven't cycled for 3 years and I still wont compete Natural. One Word:
INTEGRITY

:iwstupid:

Like everyone else said Go back to the drawing board, correct her lifting and diet. Then compete again next season. These are not sports that you will win at in your first years, Most people have 10 plus years of training before they even compete.

My experience I started lifting at 13 for Sports and I didn't Compete in Powerlifting until I was 29. I'm 31 and My body is still maturing every year. Many women in their 20's still have so many female hormones in their bodies that it's hard to get the lean hard look. IMO Gear is not the answer unless this is you choice for your LIFE.
