Average Weight Gain?

I check the scale today and I've gained 6lbs. This sounds far too much - this isn't healthy is it?
it's all tits man, just keep doing this shit until your body will get used to it. You might feel like a balloon but in 4-5 months your body will addapt, and when it addapts , raise another inch on food and then again and again-- thats how you add the mass, slowly but surely

I couldn't gain any weight untill I learned the importance of eating. Eat as much as you can. Don't wait for appettite, just eat, eat and eat. I put 18 lbs in 4 months when I started eating big. Concentrate on carbs. You need to raise a lot the daily Kcal.

Start using fitday.com or something like that to track every single thing you eat. If you don't know how many calories, carbs, proteins and fats you are eating, you can't figure out how much you need to grow. You only really need to eat 500 over maintenance to grow steadily. Eating more than 500 calories over maintenance when you are not on juice will probably mean fat gain along with muscle gain.
Weigh yourself daily and keep track of your average weekly weight. Your weight will fluctuate quite a bit because of water weight, carbs, etc. You can gain a couple quality pounds each week if your diet is flawless and you train well.

The biggest thing you have to do is tracking your diet. Remember, the diet is typically harder than the training.

dont think the weight you put up is embarassing we all start some where, and at least you are putting fourth the effort of lifting unlike so many people that waist my good oxygen, be proud of what you are doing.

One thing that you need to be careful with is that the weight you are putting on is actually coming in as muscle or water weight. Check your body fat after extreme weight gains.
Also, be patient. It tokk me about 6 years to go from 135lbs to 190 lbs. You learn how to eat over time. Instead of asking everybody in the world the same question, start listening to your body. Remember that if you ask the same question to ten guys, they will all give you different answers. They are not neccarily wrong, but they may not be right for you.
Get yourself a good trainer or spotter in the gym and cycle your workouts to include some overloading. Be careful because your joints will suffer with too much overload. Then you will fell like an old man by the time you reach 30.
Remember that most supplements are junk. I have researched this area for years. The things that usually work are harmful to your body. I was a Pro Wrestler for two years. I got to know Stone Cold Steve Austin. He is on pain killers and steroids. I had a talk with him about that. He said something that made a lot of sense. He gets paid millions of dollars a year for doing what he does. So for him, the benefits outway the risks. So if you sacrafice your health for no money, and later in life you suffer from bad health, with no money; what are the benfits?
Good luck in the future and keep us posted with your progress.
