Please, I would like members opinions on this issue. If someone were to receive a pack that had been opened and re sealed with scotch tape (Not "green" customs tape) and a small generic 3"x3" paper inside of the pack stating seizure, would anyone think this could be a possible scam? If I have broken any rules please delete.

welcome to OLOGY
could be a scam but it almsot sounds like someone swiped the gear out of the box durring mailing and threw in that note to throw you off.

never seen that one before. did you tell any friends you were expecting a package and they could have snatched it?

Naw - it was the manufacturer who sent it that way. Seen it happen before. You got scammed by the person you ordered from - noone intercepted it - it was sent out that way.

now that you said that, i read about that last year also. i think your right.

im new to all this so delete if im breaking the rules but i was wondering if you guys knew what the consequences were for getting a package seized? Im nervous to start

i've seen this in Canada, and also in U.K.

the wrap is not seized but what was supposed in were seized after a "broken for indefication". and they let the wrap to come to you.

it's ridiculous, but it's the customs process in some country.

Kane, nothing appeared broken in the wrap and the possibility because of vacuum seal (by sender) is slim to none. Also, is was re sealed with scotch tape. Not the "green" customs tape. Weird to me.

If it was a postal worker or something of that nature you just wouldn't get the pack. Why would they bother sending you the empty package with a bogus letter when they can just trash it and you'd be none the wiser? Your source scammed you.

it was a joke..

Does anyone know if this is the procedure for a more "formal" letter to follow or call BS and a scam?

you been scammed.

something it can happen than registered airmail with signature can pass through the post after been checked by customs, but only to get your signature... then you get traped.

But for you is not the case, you been scammed.
