overheard someone say dumbells are better for gaining mass because you get more range of motion. is there any truth to this

well it is POSSIBLE to get more range of motion with a DB but i have yet to see 1 person actually using a lighter weight so that it can be brought down to below the pec..most grab the biggest they can heave just like when using a BB..

you are able to move a bigger load with a BB rather than DB's

Dips TEAR that shiz up, no joke. Love em! I'm more of a fan to DB then BB but I alternate on a weekly basis.. I like BB, inclined BB, Dips, butterflies, incline butterflies, db press, incline db.. there's a lot to do. just have to find what works for you. I DO like the BB pressing though for sure but I feel stronger when using DB's heh.. but you have to bring them below your pec like someone said for the full effectiveness

i just started doind 5x5 so far so good but here it is

bench or dumbell press: 5x5
incline dumbell press: 2x8-10
flyes:2x8-10
