Blood Donation Protocol Help?

Hey Guys,

I have only done 1 10 week cycle of Test C. @ 500mg a week for 10 weeks. That was probably 4 months ago. I did PCT with clomid and nolvadex and loved the results. I have been reading around on here and just recently came across Austintite's threads about donating blood and supplements and things. How often should you donate blood? I am planning on doing another cycle of 16 weeks test at same dosage and deca @ 400 mg this time for 16 weeks and 14 weeks respectively.

I did get a yearly physical about 4 weeks after my first cycle and the girl drawing my blood for the blood work said "Your blood is really thick...you should drink more water." I was drinking a gallon a day at that time so I am thinking I should have donated. Anyway they did the blood work and all checked out ok then.

Should I donate before this next cycle and what is the protocol for that? I have been reading up for a long time about steroids and have never really seen this before until recently so that kind of scares me. How many guys are out there with sludge flowing through their veins because they never donate?

Honestly, I think guys that cycle should donate every time they can to be honest. Every 56 days is what 6 times a year? That's a pretty small investment of time for some good preventative maintenance in my opinion. You get a free bp check and hemoglobin measure too, sounds pretty win/win to me. :)

Absolutely!
I can't understand for the life of me why people don't do thorough research before starting any cycling on what they would need to do to stay healthy. People on cycles should be donating blood every 2-3 months.
Why wait till the problem escalates?
Nip it in the bud!!!

I agree with Halfwit. Also, when you go there, they prick your finger and check your hemo so you know what your level is at. I use United Blood services. Also, as part of donating, they give you your total cholesterol reading as well. So you get hemo, total cholesterol, and blood pressure reading. Not a bad thing and you are saving lives.

I agree. When I donated, I used inyourhands.org, and when you log into your account, it says "You're eligible to donate on whatever date...". So I used to just follow that lead. If they'll let me, I'm donating.

Like an Oil Change :)

Having your cholesterol checked is a good thing don't get me wrong. But...
shouldn't an accurate cholesterol check be done in the A.M. on an empty stomach, probably without water as well???
I know the blood lab people here are keen on you fasting before early a.m. blood work.
You would to eat reasonably well 3 hours prior to donating blood. The drop in blood sugar and lightheaded feeling would be far less.

How long does it take you to fill that pint on average?

Austinite, you think you can chime in on my clomid thread one last time?

But you keep changing your mind. lol. I really don't have much more to elaborate on. I prefer Clomid, not nolva. That's really all I have for you, I provided a wealthy study for your review to support my suggestions.

Oh. I don't donate anymore. But I can drain a pint in about 15 minutes. I take my time. When I get a phlebotomy, I request a 20 gauge syringe and that takes about 20+ minutes.

they use a pretty thick needle as a standard at these blood donation places. I think they use 17 ga.
