Blood test results, a few things abnormal

Hey guys,

Just got my blood work in, a few background points before i list the numbers:
Been cutting since may using a CKD diet, now full keto (400-500 deficit with refeeds about once every two weeks). I weight 160, and I'm 5"10. I started out at 189, and kept most of my muscle, surprisingly.

A few things I noticed right off the bat, BUN and BUN/creatinine ratios are high... I'm only 22 so I doubt it's kidney failure, and I'm chalking it up to keto and high protein intake. Also, Test serum is on the low end, at 307 which is surprising. I don't know why It's that low, or how to get it up naturally (not ready for a cycle yet, too many reservations). Also cortisol is high, but I know this is typical for the morning and while dieting, and it's also a poor indicator of true cortisol levels in the blood.

Please let me know what I can and should do to correct the levels I mentioned, or even some levels that I may have overlooked.

Thanks!

The numbers don't mean much without corresponding reference ranges.

Here are some of the abnormalities (with some normal levels) highlighted with their appropriate ranges.

BUN is 23 with a range of 6-20
Creatinine is normal at .92 with a range of 0.76-1.27
Phosphorus serum is high at 5.0 with a range of 2.5-4.5
TSH 3.860 uIU/mL with a range of 0.450-4.500 01
Thyroxine (T4) 6.9 ug/dL range of 4.5-12.0 01
T3 Uptake 37 % range of 24-39%
Free Thyroxine Index 2.6 range of 1.2-4.9
Testosterone, Serum 307 LOW ng/dL range of 348-1197
Testosterone (Direct) 9.7 pg/mL range of 9.3-26.5 01
DHEA-Sulfate 415.5 ug/dL range of 164.3-530.5
Cortisol - AM 26.8 HIGH ug/dL with a range of 6.2-19.4

Bun and creatinine can be from high protein intake or dehydration even.

With your TSH value I would look into getting a full thyroid panel/evaluation.

Testosterone is definitely low but I see no LH results.

Are these abnormal levels my body's cue telling me to stop cutting?

Not unless you've been doing an extremely terrible job and literally starving yourself. I think it's your body's way of saying you need more thorough blood panels drawn. For 22yo your test levels are without a doubt low but can't say whether it's likely primary or secondary hypogonadism due to the lack of LH results. And the AACE has new reference range limits for TSH (changed from 4.5 - 3.5) which would make you hypothyroid or sub clinical hypothyroid depending on who you're asking.

Have you ever run a cycle, used pro-hormones or taken "test boosters"? Anything that may have affected your testosterone levels?

To add more to Mega, what time of day were you tested, fasted or not, any recent injuries or,trauma

Nope. I've never taken anything besides a pre-workout supplement with those typical Stims. No cycles, no pins, no orals. I'm pretty bummed about this low test because I want to stay natty but these levels are way too low for my liking. Hopefully switching over to a clean bulk will bring them up. I wanted to keep cutting but I work with 3J and he told me it's time I increase my LBM, and he's right. I wanted to get closer to 10% bf but these hormone levels are really gonna hinder that.

Tested fasted at 7am. No recent injuries or trauma.

Time to retest your Total Test again to confirm the result of Low T. And get LH and FSH to help determine if you have Primary or zsecondary Hypogonadism. This will help determine if a restart might be effective.

Should I increase my dietary intake back up to maintenance and reintroduce carbohydrates? I feel as though the deficit might have had a significant impact on these results. I've been cutting since may and before this my Test has never been low (from what I recall it was around 600).

Unless you think I should keep everything the same and just re-test. I'm supposed to be starting a bulk cycle with 3J because he thinks a lot of this has to do with me needing more LBM and that i'm at sort of a dead end with my cut.

I would trust the advice you get from 3J if I were you.
