Blood work and insurance

As far as appointments and blood work go, it's 80/20, me being the 20, and all medications are always at no cost to me. No deductible either. Is this pretty good? I always feel so bad when I see the BW bill, but after I look at what I could have payed, I smile a little. Is this good, bad, or average? It's a PPO and the insurance is through work so we don't pay a dime directly to the providers.

No way would I risk getting blood work for AAS on insurance's dime. I know for a fact that with my insurance company, I can pull up previous blood workups online - meaning that information is being shared. Also, keep in mind - no way is your insurance company paying 1500 for a simple panel. That's just what they're being charged, and they *maybe* pay 1/5 of that amount.

Unless it's thyroid/shbg/free test or something else not covered by the female panel at privatemdlabs.com I don't hesitate at dropping the fifty bucks. Does sound like you have decent insurance though, mine covers all labs 100%, but they're cheap bastards when it comes to meds. I have to pay 100% out of pocket for my testosterone for example. :(

You coverage is good, but the key is how much you are paying for it in premiums. Without that info it is hard to evaluate your coverage.
