Bloodwork -Private or through a GP

I know there are lots of people who have different views on this subject.

I have full personal health insurance, and my doctor has in the past wrote off my bloodworks to insurance regardless of the intentions. On the other hand private labs are cheap enough to consider, completely private, faster delivery, and I won't have to hear anything from my doctor about why Testosterone and other steroids are going to kill me.

So, please if you all know something I don't, fill me in or just tell me which one you prefer (or would prefer if you had health coverage).

Thanks,

Well, I already have life insurance. I landed a pretty solid job actually after a few years in a temp service..

But I'm sure it doesn't necessarily matter if I already have it or not, it'd probably still show up right? Basically cancelling what I do already have?

This is the kind of stuff I was looking for, maybe a few more people to voice their opinions on the subject too?

My doctor was pretty against it, but wasn't angry that I was still considering it after his speech and scare stories. I think I will get my intra-cycle and post cycle bloods done privately from now on. But still get pre-cycle bloods done at the doctors since it's free and doesn't actually show I'm on anything.

I was thinking if your dr puts that in your medical file would that make insurance paid trt at a later date a no go?

Would they say we'll we warned you now you have hypogonadism and it was probsbly caused from use of aas. Then you couldn't get insurance to cover it.

It's awfully pricey paying at a clinic.

I wouldn't tell my dr. If I didn't have to.

Generally, it doesn't work this way. Else they would be telling smokers with lung cancer that they're out of luck on insurance coverage.

For me, it comes down to the frequency of bloodwork. I was getting the doctor's every quarter until he decided I am good for yearly checkups. Since I want bloods more frequently than that, I go private.
