Bulking Diet

I've been looking all over the place for the right diet for the bulking phase. I'm 21 yrs. old, 6'1, 180, active in sports, lift 4 times a week and have a trainer. Now all I need is the right diet to get some mass whenever I start gearin' up in the next couple of weeks. Just want some examples of a quality diet that is going to help me out when I get things going; maybe a diet that worked for you or somebody you know.

A real bulking diet? There are varying degress of bulking diets but a lot of your bulking diet is going to come from you knowing your body. Id say given your frame, eating 6 times a day, getting in about 300-350 grams of protein and 400-500 grams of carbs per day with some good fat and trying balls to the wall will definitely put on some size. Try and record everythign you eat per day and determine the calories and macro-nutrient amounts your taking in. The only way you will know how to improve your diet will be by looking at what happened in the past when you were consuming what you were consuming in your daily log book. Just an idea.
 
Great advice. Start at 3,500 calories a day and if you gain a pound stay on it if you don't up it by 200. I have been keeping a log of my diet everyday for a year and it is the ONLY way that works for me. I am a true ectomorph.
