I would figure up your Basal Metabolic Rate and then add to it your activity level.

Another thing you can do is keep a dietary list of everything you put in your mouth for the next 3 days.

Add the kcals up and divide by 3.

Whatever your average is add 500 kcals.
 
i dont really know how to find my basal metabolic rate :S. i have a fast metabolism.

when is says the amount of calories on a food package. is that the total amount. or do i have to add calories for protein carbs and fat? (ie 4 calories per 1g protein etc.)
