Can Cortizone give same side effect as an anobolic or androgenic compound?

Im pretty sure cortizone doesn't have any anabolic or androgenic properties.

No it doesn't.

It reduces imflammation..hence the water bloat/or forcing the body via shots responding to pain in the area but not enough nerves or blood supply so you force the medicine there.

Reading a runner's magazine before always recommended not using any Cortisone shots...Only hear people re-injured the area a few months later.

It a crap shoot choosing either to reduce the swelling via ice and rest and letting the body part heal or using the shots to reduce inflammation and going on ahead as if nothing happened in that area only to hurt it again and/or swelling up via the shots and the body's response to the area so it's 2 fold.

I once was asked if i wanted a Cortisone shot and I refused so I don't know if the water retention is a problem.I can image the body part being swollen anyways/or the body just hasn't response to the area being hurt yet.Yes..it does weaken the tendons because of pain killing properties when say it takes a month to heal and one didn't rest it.Wear and tear comes to mind.

Never take those shots ever!

From my experience, a corticosteroid is basically a band aid with side effects such as water retention, elevated Ast, alt, and hunger.

I recently had one in the back of both shoulders. I had constant pain in one and intermittent pain in the other. I don't like going to docs so I rested them. 1 month turned into 5 because when I would try and go train it would flare back up. I would compare the pain to severe tendonitis. In the bad shoulder it would radiate to my elbow. I think though, that it's just wear and tear after lifting for a long time. I mean, when that becomes the last resort you gotta do what you gotta do right? So I went to doc, and have felt good. I know the pain will come back eventually, but I'm training smarter I think. Being very careful. Not putting up the big weight anymore, just trying to maintain and be able to lift. I hope that if I stay in the careful mode, I won't have to worry about the injuries coming back worse. But I gotta say, reading all this makes me a lil nervous.
