Canned Jack Mackerel

Anyone ever try this? I usually eat Alaskan Pink Salmon, but this stuff is a little lower in fat and a little higher in protein. I bought a can and tried it the same way I make salmon (in cakes) and it doesn't taste much different. Anyone have any BAD information on Jack Mackerel? If not, any reason why you shouldn't eat it?

I think its great, Have you tried the Blue Black Salmon a little more fat content in that but it tastes good.
 
Never heard of the Blue Black Salmon. Is it canned? Do they sell it at regular grocery stores (Wal-Mart, Kroger, etc)?

I have a ton of makeral in my freezer right now. Never had it canned though. I can't imagine it'd be bad for you. Supposed to have some good Omega-3's.

Too constant a diet of it wouldn't be too smart but I think a few times a week would be a great supplement.
