Carb Back-Loading

Dtone, 3J, and anyone else very knowledgeable on the diet subject, please chime in. What do you guys think?

For those who don't understand, it's a pretty simple concept but has very serious implications on your insulin/glucose levels.

Please do your research beforehand and do not consider this thread a template for any diet plan.

The premise of carb back-loading is to eat no carbs during meals prior to training and post training eat large quantities of carbs (ie. all the carbs you take in during the day) in the last 2-3 meals of the day...

I have my doubts but I would love for Dtone and 3J to chime in and potentially shed some light on the subject.

That's where I got the initial information about it... Seems to make a lot of sense, but I have a ton of questions like:

What about days you don't train?
What if you train in the AM?
What if you train very late at night?

I read the article and yes its interesting. The comments are interesting as well, I wonder if Jimmy Jam is our 3J? Either way I would love to hear their comments as well.

Milk if you read some of the comments on the carb back loading info site you'll find a lot of users asking and answering the very questions you have. hopefully that can shed some more light on what to do in those situations.

I know, what I was talking about was if you read the article and scroll down to the comment section you will see a user Jimmy Jam. Wonder if it's our 3J.

im jamyjam not jimmy jam.. and no thats not me

i actually have my diet set up pretty similar to this, and even though I don't workout til about 6 pm I have been getting pretty good results with it.

I am. If you have any questions or comments for me, please leave them at my site. Not to drive traffic away from here, but surfing forums to answer questions isn't the best use of my time.

Thanks.

although i have not researched it, it makes an awful lot of sense. my only question is, if you are not trying to drop bf, why would you not eat carbs prior to working out?

i think u can still bulk on this diet D... just as if u were going to bulk using keto...

high fats in the morning to afternoon.. high carbs in the evening.. just shifting the focus..

i wouldn't put my own stamp of approval on it.. id have to try it out myself first.. see how i react to it..
