Cardio and shakes??

Hey, was thinking about finally doing some cardio. Do you guys drink protein shakes before/after/both or not at all when doing cardio??

Either do cardio in the morning before eating anything, or about 30 mins after a pro shake, but no carbs.


Or, roughly 2 hours after a meal during the day. I personally do cardio right after weight training because at that time, fat goes alot easier. Then I will eat a meal with a pro shake.
 
Don't drink a protein shake before cardio. After pro/fat meal depending on if it was a liquid or solid meal, wait 2 1/2 - 3 hours then hit the cardio, or do it on empty in the morning.

If you are ingesting carbs with your protein after cardio, wait 30-40 minutes to let lipolysis continue. If you are having a pro/fat meal, 10-15 minutes will suffice.

I would say it depends upon your goals. If you are doing cardio for just cardiovascular condition then I might suggest consuming some protein/glucose before cardio. If you plan to utilize cardio for weight loss then consume your protein shake afterwards.
