well im gonna apologize in advance if i posted this in the wrong thread it is cycle related...
so here's my problem I have done gear for about 5 years and took about 2 years off since my last cycle. I had minimal Cardio when on cycle (just enough to get my heart rate up) and that pretty much it. I got back into the army and am incredibly struggling with my cardio. I seem to have hit a wall and cant run any faster then 15:35 2mile (i know that's sad) I am a natural runner I have always been able to break through and get faster but it seems my body lacks the endurance to break the barrier. I've even pushed myself to the point of throwing up. this is almost a year now i've been working at it. I have been getting ready for ranger school next year and I know im not ready and fear i wont be cardio wise.
so my question's are:
1. could my lungs been affected in any way of my cycles without cardio?
2. I do realize smooth muscle is different then skeletal but i somehow feel the strength in my lungs is no longer? ( i gas out almost immediately)
3. does anyone know of a cardio cycle i could do or anyway to give my cardio a kick start?
I run every other day alternating 5miles and 2, have been for about 8 months now.
