Sup bros? So recently I felt a pain developing in my ear. After it didnt go away for about 2 months I got more curious what the hell it was. I thought maybe a zit but it wasnt. After the pain got real annoying I decided to take matters into my own hands....literally. I squeezed it real hard and felt and heard a crunching sound in the cartiledge as I popped whatever was in there.

I wrestled in high school and played contact sports all my life but honestly dont know how the F this even developed. I never had any signs or other symptoms. I looked into it and it seems to be a small case of cauliflour ear? Its barely noticeable & I dont give a F cosmetically since its really not bad, but it hurts and is getting real annoying.

I found some videos online and after some reading I decided to drain it with a slin pin. It worked like magic...the pain went away and the swelling went down as well. Next day it seemed to fill in with blood again so I drained it again. I've now drained it 4 times and the pain keeps returning as it fills in with blood and gets kinda swollen.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Any suggestions? Will I have to keep draining this f'n ear forever or will it eventually stop?

I know I know go see a dr... I dont have INS at the moment and have done a good job (I think) of keeping it sterile and reducing pain and swelling & dont feel like dropping a few hundo to see some jerkoff who will do exactly what Ive been doing only to need to go back again. Im sure there has to be a few guys around here who have worse cases than I do.

the only thing it has that is similar to a boil is that its a collection of blood & or mucus that causes pain but subsides after being drained. appearance wise though it doesnt look like a boil it looks like cauliflour ear. its very slight and not pronounced like some ears of an MMA fighter or something. There is also no itching or redness, & these are both common side effects of a boil. WTF ??

i would not squeez it thow lol. go to doc when you have time.
if its growing you may need it to be cut open and drained.

I appreciate the feedback. I understand why it might seem like that but it has no real shape its more like a small swollen area at the top of my ear. Similar to a blood blister but not transparent. Im thinking it might have been a cyst that I popped thats now getting better but still not totally clean in there. I figured someone here had cauliflour ear and had done the draining thing and could respond with how that goes and if it ever stops. Thanks tho

Dude, go and see a doctor.

If you ear gets infected, you might have bigger problems. Certainly, if you've drained it 4 times, and it still fills up with blood, it's a sign that you aint gonna fix it yourself.

I take it you're in the States? You need to talk to your new president to sort out some form of free health service.

I have had cauliflower ear and it hurt's hahaha and you have to wear head gear when you have it which really sucks but I have never had the bleeding, just kind of a clear liquid, maybe with a little blood when I drained it but not enough to really say my ear was bleeding or filling with blood. If you are not comfortable with the way it is Healing or not healing you should see a doc.

Free health care? Haha. Yeah okay! All we get is lies & bullshit from our president... I wouldn't bet on ever getting a good healthcare system let alone free healthcare! Since it started it gets swollen less frequently as I drain it. First it was everyday... Then eod, now every 3rd or 4th day & less blood every time. I'm gonna cross my fingers and give it another week or so. If it's still a problem by then I'll go see a doc.

Sounds like a sist. I used to get them from time to time. After you get out of the shower in the swab out your ear with rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. Let it heal. Don't squeeze it your making it bigger under the surface of the skin.
