were you previously fasting? i find that very hard to believe thats barely 2000 cals?? tell us what you were eating like before you changed to this..

EATING ABOUT 1200-1500 CALORIES A DAY, SOME DAYS LESS
I CAME DOWN FROM 310 LBS THIS WAY BUT I CAN HARDLY TRAIN BECAUSE I WAS FEELING WEAK

bro, thats 6 lbs of food in your stomach. u really didnt gain 6 lbs overall. if u weighed ur self that same day that u ate all that food and u been on a low carb/calorie diet, then all that food u ate just stayed in your stomach and the scale picked up the 6 lbs of food.

I can only imagine how tired you must be..ur a big fellow and you're severely undereating..Congrats on losing that much weight..as with putting on any new diet you want to do things in increments..i think you should slowly bump up your cals from protein and low GI carbs and add some cardio in and see how that goes..you should feel more energetic and be able to train consistently

You should never go up in carbs when dieting. You should drop carbs as often as needed to make continuous progress.Anytime you add more carbs to a diet your fat loss will come to a screaching halt.

Thats a misconception..carbs do not make you fat!!!Besides where is this guy going to go he'll be lowering his carbs to 0 in 3 weeks b/c hes not dropping weight..im saying that he needs to get back up to a maintenance diet and then go from there..Adding say 10-20g carbs/wk to his diet with the addition of steady training and cardio will not halt his fat loss..

Actually sometimes carbing up for a day or so then cutting back down again for an extended period of time can help you shock you body into droping fat. It sounds crazy but it worked for me. I got stuck at 205 coming down from 262lb's. I carbed up for about a week, gained about 5 lb's (water weight I'm assuming) , then lost another 15lbs to put me at 195. Since then I've just been eating super clean and Moderating carbs and I'm down to 187. I guess everyone is different and this method might not work for everyone but if your stuck, give it a shot. I'm stuck now so it's time to carb up again.

CERTAIN carbs do make you fat. High glycemic (coke) carbs make you fat by drastically spiking your insulin levels therefore promoting fat storage. Low glycemic (oatmeal) do not spike your insulin levels drastically and are slow burning. Try a good ole Mcdonalds meal and put that coke, fries, and saturated fat together and shuttle that fat straight to you, lol.

Yes you are right..But my post before that i stated he should eat more low GI carbs..Of course he shouldnt bump up his cals with MCd's lol..:D

From my experiences,I found that dropping carbs throughout your program will keep the fatloss going.I have never heard of anyone raising carbs to start losing fat.Although,as mentioned above,it is a good idea to carb up from time to time to shock the system and keep thing rolling.I don't think low GI carbs will make you fat,it's just that if you start to eat more than you previously were before everyday,I don't see how you can expect to burn fat.The problem is,he started way too low to begin with, now he has no place to go.He should probably up his calories for a while, eat more low GI carb without putting on any fat to get his metabolism running normal again then start over with a more thought out plan.

Thats what im trying to say as well..thank you road dog

Dude you need to put some fuel in your gas tank. At your bodyweight, your basal metabolic rate is probably almost 3500kcal. By going so low in your cals you are killing your body's metabolism. I would increase your carbohydrate intake slightly to give you energy and increase your cardio to compensate. Also try packing in more meal per day. When I'm cutting I consume between 6-10 small meals spaced evenly through out the day.
