chicken vs steak

That depends ........if you are looking at lean portions either way ....flank steak or ...chicken breast would be my best guess...everything being equal....that is ratio wise
I think there is no difference?

why Johnny B, not for protein you can get that from either chicken or tuna. I guess the steak is for in order to beef up you have to eat beef, steak, etc. right ?

Red meat has creatine in it and works better for bulking. I'm not saying for every meal, but 1 steak every day or 2 helps. Maybe I'm just old school that's why I think steak is a must for bulking, but it works for me;)

Excessive red meat is extemely hard on the old digestive tract....

Both are very good for a bodybuilders diet. Extra lean ground beef is also a good source of a red meat protein.
If it has loin or round in the name it's lean.

You should be rotating protein on a daily basis for best results.

Day 1: Fish protein
Day 2: chicken and beef
Day 3: Egg and whey

Thats just an example. Many different combo's to achieve great results. This also helps if you have a food allergy to a certain food, which most people don't know about.

But to answer your question both beef and chicken are about equal in terms of protein utilization.

The practical effects on body composition between *COMPLETE whole-food proteins* are very minimal. Taste and the fact that allergies can be developed over time taking in the same protein are the main considerations for me.
