Controling acne on TRT HELP!!!!!

Hey guys....question for you guys....

I am on TRT .5ml 2 times a week.....of Cyp.

and I have a patch of acne on my chest that is driving me crazy....it is about 30 or 40 bumps that I get stuff out of daily.....one goes away another pops up.

I have put "acne" stuff on them with luck....even cleaned with alcohol...

this started with some on the bottom on my hair line on the back on my head.....then popped up on chest.


is this normal????

how are you guys dealing with acne?

Acne is a sign of high estradiol (a form of estrogen). You need to run lab work to see if you estradiol is elevated.

Testosterone aromatizes (converts) into estradiol. Are you taking an aromatase inhibitor?

I am not.....only the Cyp.

brought up the Estradiol before to Dr.....and she said that was a Women test.....(eyes rolling)

You can get your E2 checked at privatemedlabs.com and if need be can order an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) from one of the site sponsors, I would also be looking for another doctor!

Spunkey, you really need to stop mentioning procuring AI's from sponsors man. Wrooong forum for that buddy.

OP: Don't feel too awry, I've had the same response as well as asking for LH and FSH values to be tested and was told that those are only pregnant woman hormones. Might be time to find a new doc if the don't acquiesce to your request.

The only studies I could find linking DHT and acne was in women. Do you have any showing this in men?

No I have no proof....just what I have been told....I just know my acne was not related to estro.. had blood drawn and estro was in check.....I ended up going on a low dose of Accutane for 6 months 20mg a day and that did the trick.....I tried other things like acnetame and that worked while using the product but not a permanent fix...

to me it kind of makes sense its either estro or dht since test converts to these

sooner the better. get the acne and estro taken care of. the longer it has time to build up the harder it is to get rid of. (acne that is)
