I eat cottage cheese every day......I have no problems with it whatsoever.

I have 1 cup before bed and it does work great for me when I am cutting up.
I use 1 tablespoon of vanilla yogurt or 1 pinapple slice,pinapple is a great digestive enzyme.
 
For a snack 1 cup with 1-2 rice cakes is decent. I love the stuff personally. I usually have it with break fast:

6-8 eggs (2 whole,4-6 whites) scrabled with veggies
Half or whole standard size pack of lean ground Chick, turk or extra lean G-beef
Low starch hot sauce 2 table spoons
1-1.5 cups of cottage cheese

Eat it straight up, mix it all together or put in a low fat whole grain wrap with some roasted red peps and yur good to go. The hot sauce is key though over powers most of everything and makes u want to eat more cottage cheese to help neutralize the heat. Only downsides the sodium...
 
Personally I like the stuff. I mix it in my oatmeal. I use blue berries, cottage cheese, oatmeal with egg whites and sweeten it with splenda. When I am cooking the oatmeal right before it's done I add a few egg whites. Then mix in the cottage cheese and blue berries. This has every thing a growing boy needs. Anti-Oxidents from the blue berries, fiber and carbs from the oats and protien from the cottage cheese and egg whites. I forgot to mention that I heat the cottage cheese and blue berries in the micro wave so it's hot when I eat it.

I can't eat cottage cheese it tastes like vomit!! I've tried everything but no chance I'd prefer to eat a dog turd!
 
So what's the verdict here, is cottage cheese a good source of protein or not? I stopped eating it because a while back I forget the exact details, but an article said that it wasn't a good source of protein, due to it being a milk protein? Some shit like that, I can't remember. Personally, I don't think the stuff is that bad. I used to get the fat free version and eat it straight from the tub.
 
cottage cheese contains mostly casein protein, which is a great source of protein. i think everyone (BBers, not the general public) just falsely diagnoses themselves as having some degree of lactose intolerance and believes eating it automatically makes you fat and bloated and have all sorts of crazy allergic reactions.
