1. Why the cruise? You're going to crash either way, and the longer the cycle - the harder (generally speaking) it is going to be to recover.
2. I'd get a pre-cycle bloodwork done first. It seems to me that you may be concerned with recovery, so before going on any venture into AAS, I'd at least get some baseline numbers going so you know at least if something does go wrong - where that blame may lie.
2b. If you have good baseline values for your testosterone and everything else looks good, I most certainly wouldn't go on a cruise and just run it like everyone else. Cycle==>PCT==>Downtime==>Cycle==>Et cetera.
3. 30-40lbs is a TON of mass to put on. Picture a 5lb roll of hamburger at the store; you're hoping to put on 6-8x that amount in a very short period of time. I know we see stories of guys that put on that much weight, but they seldom follow up to say that
half or more of that weight was just water weight from not running an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and it went away. I'd be happy with 10-15lbs of REAL lean mass, and that's even pushing it. You'll want to have a fantastic diet plan and be extremely consistent in the gym to have those kinds of results. <Insert plug for 3J here>
I think you know the answer to this, but I do also wonder why you would want to push your body that hard. Do you suspect that you may have lower test levels naturally and want to see how you feel on a cruise? This is why I strongly suggest you get a pre-cycle blood test first, it may answer some of those questions you may not even know you had.
